I used to listen to ASMR a lot, and then I stopped for a while - Then when I started learning Japanese and started to understand more and more, I find Japanese ASMR much better! So much better sounds in the language! :D

I remember listening to this every night for a whole year straight and being able to repeat legit everything she said, I've come to the conclusion that prolonged exposure to ASMR in other languages can help you understand words in those languages

Ok Yukino.....this is just so amazing!!!!! Massage for the senses!! Not to many ASMR artist I listen to. A handful really. And normally.....I don't listen to 'repeating' phrase asmr performance! 囁きなら囁き。普通に話すなら普通に話す。どちらかにしてもらいたいです。囁きだと思って囁きに音量を調整するので、そこに急に普通に話されるとビックリしてしまいます。

You should do a whole video of what you were doing from 12:12 till 13:39 moving ear to ear turning pages from that book whispering random words you find that would trigger someone.

Why are a lot of words in Japanese spelled with a u but aren't pronounced with a u?

Because diacritics (voweling sounds) are handling very different in each language. And, in the case of short and/or breathed vowelings: they are not included in the spelling. This is also very common in Farsi and Arabic.
because the english way to pronounce "u" doesnt define the letter u. YOU FUCKING AMerICAN
im just trolling
the 'u' is used to lengthen the vowels, so an 'o' with an 'u' behind it becomes oo. Also, the 'u' at the end of words is often not pronounced in casual speach :)
