I am sure there are some Laneige Lip Mask fans out there, so yes, I’m ready for the outpouring in the comments! 😅🙈 But to be fair, I don’t think it’s a ‘bad product’. I just think it’s not THE best in the market and kind of overrated for what it is. There are just better alternatives to this, in my opinion. Had there been some active ingredients in it for treatment or better, more convenient packaging or even if it treated chapped lips, I don’t think I’d even mind the fragrance or the price point. I just don’t see it any better than a basic flavoured lip balm. But apart from that, tell me what else should I review next? I’d love your suggestions on popular/viral products, that are priced slightly in the premium or luxury category, as that’s what my focus on this series primarily is. This worked like a charm for my chapped lips and yes they had cuts and bled , but the lip sleeping mask literally fixed them overnight . Highly recommend it, amazing product.
After using it for 5 year- to heal you capped and cracked lip, you need to apply it before sleep and remove it in the morning, and throughout the day i dont need to apply any lipbam. It is that good for my lips.
This is literally god sent for me. Works magic on my lips. I literally apply it everyday over my lipstick. ❤ I do not think its overrated, it’s just a personal preference of texture and skin condition. 🤷🏻♀️
I would never say that it's not worth spending money bcz this worked well for me. Many of them don't like it simply bcz they don't use it right. The purpose of this mask is pretty much inclined to exfoliation rather than hydration and that is why many people don't find it useful. 1) This is a lip mask and so it's meant to be used only as a mask at night. And you need to apply and keep this on your lips overnight. 2) You don't have to use a lot on your lips for it to work. You can use just one decent scoop with the spatula they give. 3) Once you wake up in the morning, the first thing you need to do before brushing your lips is to just splash some water on your lips and use your fingers and rub your lips. If you rub it for 5-10 secs you will start to feel your dead cells peeling off and you should wash off your lips. This way your lips will become soft. 4) When you are going out or once you wash this off you should apply any lip balm. Maybe for some this mask is not working bcz of the lip balm they use. P.S: Please try to use the above steps and check out the difference. If it still doesn't work, its hard luck.

It really worked for me. My lips were severely chapped and I had a function next day so I just applied generously and went to sleep. And in one night my lips became sooo much better. Even better than my normal lips. But I don’t notice much difference when I use it every night. So I use chapstick everyday and once or twice a week I apply this at night. I got small once but I liked it so much that I got full sized. But I still didn’t finish my small one. So you can get small one. It’ll be enough for long.
Laneige worked for me when nothing worked and I used this since it's launch in India, until last year when I tried vaseline lip therapy and I am not going back to laneige. Vaseline lip therapy (tin packaging) works better for half the price ❤

I have used the Inde Wild one along with Laneige one. Tbh, Laneige is far better. It healed my lips, and now those brown (chapped) spots have literally disappeared! It's actually worth it.
I’ve used the leneige lip mask and as well as the Vaseline…! But I found Vaseline more effective than the leneige lip mask…! Compared to the price that lip mask don’t worth the money…! Vaseline is way better than that..!! And still using the Vaseline…! It’s such a miraculous product(Vaseline) …! ❤❤

It repairs cut lips. In a night or two. And also gently exfoliates the lips. I have not found any lip balm or lip mask doing this job apart from Laneige lip mask. Its the one consistent product in my skincare routine since 2019 (even before it got famous during covid)

Do NOT use Vaseline jelly - use Vaseline lip balm instead (the rosy lip therapy thing). I tried using the Vaseline petroleum jelly on my lips that had dried out, and it made things worse/did nothing to hydrate my lips. Then I read somewhere that Vaseline jelly was actually a humectant or emolient or something so it doesn’t work on chapped or very dry lips. Because it designed to prevent moisture from escaping your skin and not actually moisturize it. So Vaseline jelly works on cuts and burns but not chapped lips.

I love Biotique lip balm . They are most hydrating & makes my lips plumpier in just seconds & it is very affordable. Laneige lip balms are overrated but biotique lip balm is underrated.
it IS quite sticky and honestly is best for use while you're asleep. i have used vaseline petroleum jelly my entire life and will stand by it any day, but there has been quite a few nights where i wake up with slightly dry lips even after going to sleep with vaseline on because it would rub off during the night the stickiness of the laneige lip mask makes sure it STAYS on ur lips 😅 like, honestly, it STAYS. i wake up and can still fill the product on my lips, but that just means i wake up with plump moisturised lips so im not complaining 😌 i am sure there are other alternatives that are equally good while being cheaper, but vaseline petroleum jelly just ain't it 😅 i use vaseline during the evenings and the laneige one while sleeping. also, for the price, the tub seems small but u only need a small amount, and u don't even need to reapply as much as other lip balms (like NMF or chaptex or occlusives like vaseline) because well, it's sticky so u only need a small amount every night so i feel like the price is justified too 🫡👍🏽 (which it came in w different packaging tho. and while i always prefer fragrance-free products, i don't mind this as much bc it smells heavenly and doesn't irritate my lips )

Yes it is sticky, but for me anything less sticky than this just wont be hydrating enough for me, although if you have any better lip masks/balm suggestions please let us know

To anyone who wants a dupe: Lotus Lip Balm in the jar Strawberry or Raspberry varient. I used these for years and they keot my lips pink and always hydrated until one day out of nowhere I developed an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients (could be beeswax or coconut oil) but it's a me issue and not everyone is allergic so one can try that.

Laneige works great for me and doesnt feel sticky buy the small size you wont regret plus it lasts a really long time 👍🏻
