For “no” using “lie” can actually be seen as rude. For example when my teacher was in japan before he came to the states a man attempted to hand him a flyer of some sort he said “lie” and this man look absolutely crushed. Just like in English you wouldn’t say “no.” You shouldn’t use “lie” with people. In Japan it’s rather you say “it’s difficult” or “I’m sorry”. It’s better to apologize or say it’s difficult rather than use “lie”
Some more conversational ways of saying no are むずかしい です。 (it’s difficult) けっこう です (no, thank you) ちょっと むずかしい です。(that’s a little difficult) だいじょうぶ です。(no, thanks) Theres informal phrases you can use when not at your place of work like at home/with friends ううん - No. いや - No! だめ - No good! 違う (ちがう) - That’s wrong. ちょっと… - Well… / That’s a little… How you sound and how you speak/trail off is a whole different lesson 😂

Though if you want to speak Japanese in a natural sounding way, I'd recommend not using too many textbooks or apps like duolingo, since learning from them makes your Japanese sound unnatural. Matt vs. Japan and That Japanese man Yuta are some youtubers I'd recommend checking out, if you haven't already. Hope this helps!

If you don't know how close you are to the other person, I think saying "sayonara" is the safest way to say it. Well, Goodbye is commonly used in Japan, so I think it's understandable.

I recommend skipping ahead to the last 2-3 seconds of the video and letting them play out and then replaying the video. This usually tricks RUclips into thinking you watched the whole video and gets rid of the ads for you. You can do this for literally any video on RUclips, and it's helped me a lot since I learned.
This is kinda helpful but it really needs to teach the formal and informal uses of the phrases and as the phrases are playing its important to repeat it out loud to remember....that really helped😅

I'm learning Japanese in school so decided to listen to this cause I like to listen to stuff while playing games and I realized when I listen to songs that aren't English and the English lyrics I'm able to sing along in English and the other language such as Swedish a language I've never practiced before but I'm able to sing along to the Swedish song in Swedish just fine.
