Thanks for the video. I hope you'll share the reasons why to sell the Garcia Exploration 45 and your detailed impressions about it. This is one of the boats on my dream list so I'd welcome the input. Cheers.
So good to see you guys back! Going to miss you and Chloe. Good luck with your future plans and hope to see you on the water with the next Chloe! SK in the UK.
What a nice surprise to see you two ol' salts walking the planks again, though I suppose Dawn's Mum won't be too chuffed about it! Looking forward to the next episode. *looking to see how full my calendar is around Christmas* No doubt it'll be just in time for me to gloat over the Wallabies cleaning up England's Bulldogs, not to mention the Welsh Dragons. Cheers for now.
So good to see you guys again! Very nice boat and even more important; you create a really cool and relaxed atmosphere in your videos. Good information, you are teaching us stuff, have a good humor and very interesting content. I am already looking forward for the next video! 😁👍
Where do they mention it? For what is worth when you look at Allures 45.9 (i believe same hull as EX45) and you compare the interior it seems that Allures has heaps more space even though it is practically the same boat. Hence I do think the Exploration 45 interior is not properly optimised. Hopefully they will come up with version 3 with better interior 🙂
@@lucasbarcellos8356 Man, I just laughed my head off! I said to Carolyn, 'We're being cross-referenced on RUclips!' Hi Lucas. Good to see you over here. 😃 Peter and Dawn on Chloe were very helpful to us as we lined up and then bought the boat that became Snow Gum. We always planned to provide the same kind of help to others. I never got to see a video of Peter climbing the mast though ... 🤔
@@IntegralDischarge Hi Integrel. The hulls are different but share similar manufacturing practices, but you're right, the Garcia's deck saloon area is not expansive. There's storage spaces behind the sofa and the galley benches, instead of just, space. In contrast, a boat like a Hallberg-Rassy 44 feels more spacious in its saloon, which uses the full width of the boat, in places. It has long sight lines through its flat floored interior. What it lacks is storage spaces and a view to the outside. What do they say? All boats are a compromise?
@@SailingSnowGum Hi Snow Gum, yes i agree. The hallberg rassy has an amazing interior, gives me "cozy cabin in the woods" vibe. Truly more appealing than Garcia's. That being said - i think it is wrong for a proper blue water cruiser not to have proper redundancies from if/when unexpected happens (eg watertight bulkheads like Garcia's, proper watertight doors, stronger material (pgr vs alluminium). Hence the Garcia is much more blue water cruiser than HR. If i remember correctly Amel 50 has watertight doors front and aft which i think is really great idea.
Really looking forward to tell us why you sold a boat that (on paper, at least) promise to be a trusty, super seaworthy yacht. How does it sail? We saw in this episode her downwind performance under gennaker. How about other points of sail? Is the quality or the performance that you didn't enjoy that much?
Sad to hear you sold the boat. Errr not realy. Sadder that I couldn't afford it. Glad you enjoyed it. Sorry about the English in Spain. I'm sure Spain is happy about Brexit. Best wishes in whatever you're up to next.
@@PondusdeCopenhague Have you ever seen what the Brits on holiday inflict on Spain? They are far from well behaved in many cases. But realistically nothing has changed since Brexit. Idiots will be idiots and drunk commenting on you tube will still be a thing. ;) Have a fabulous evening PacoB1958
My guess why they sold it is 1. Too much boat. This is a real specialized boat. Its a remarkable design thanks to Jimmy Cornell but why wouldnt you just get a catamaran like the Pajot at 11:25 that would be 80% as capable, perhaps faster, definitely more floor space and more luxury and with no lean ....for the same price. So you wont sail the NWP or round Cape Horn. So what. Me i would have stuck with the Garcia but i want a Class Zero boat

always a great show, great boat, did you really sell chloe to get in a bigger boat ?
Hi, why did you sell Chloe? Any problem with it/her?
The guys at Sailing snow gum mentioned they wanted more space.

Can you please indicate if a 6’3” person can stand fully upright in the saloon?
A little correction, Tabernas is not the only desert in Europe.

Why should Spain be happy about the Brexit?

: )
have you changed your mind about selling it?
