- Learn how to limit charging to 80% on iPhone 15 Pro Max, so the iPhone's battery won't ever charge past the 80 percent mark. This will help with the long term battery health performance of iPhone 15 Pro Max, but will prevent the battery from lasting as long, as if you charged it to 100%.

I activated it on my 15 PM, it’s a really smart choice to preserve battery in the long run imho
While Apple doesn't actually explain why this feature exists, it's safe to assume that the charging cap is a direct response to the recent comments about the iPhone 14's battery degradation.
Jest dla starszych modeli zewnętrzne darmowe z reklamami oprogramowanie do tego. Co prawda nie wyłączy ładowania, ale poinformuje że jest 80% poziom naładowania alarmem. Przydatne gdy się nie śpi.
Shall we do 100% charging also sometimes? Or is it better to keep it always on 80% from start. What's your recommendation
does not work that way. once a week it goes to 100% Source: My iPhone
@@grahammiranda You mean it automatically goes 200% in a week for charging even if I keep the phone at 80% charging instructions
Always lock it up at 80 no need to go 100 .
Keeping between 20-80 will keep your battery health in good shape.
@@baseplate8428so i need to wait 20 percent
Inquiry: if i do set it up to 80%, then i left it all night long, is the charging will cut-off until 80% automatically, or will give effect of over-charging. Thank you.
Good question
It's always better to not over charge your phone.... Over night charging is not a good option
Do you get the answer brother? I'm also looking for this.
Thanks for the video! Very straightforward…and probably more helpful than Apple Support 😅
nah this shit not available in my 13 😢
the 80% battery limit works for me. also smart idea
I did enable 80% of charging limit on my iPhone 15pro . But when I charge my phone it always goes up to 80%. Is there anything wrong happening?
Mine charges past 80% even tho I have enabled it
Same 😂
Same
How much does it stop at then? does it go all the way to 100 even you turn it on?
@@shalesj1493yes
same, charging at 100% wtf
my iphone is set to 80% limit but still charges till 100 % whats the problem
I am facing the same issue 😢
Same issue
Same
And under what pourcent you need to charge it ?
I like this option to leave the phone on stand mode overnight
What’s that
@@menim_per_winston standBy mode, it’s the new feature in iOS 17
Exactly! I don't change my phone over-night since I don't want it sitting at 100% for hours on end (my schedule is not regular, so the fancy "I'll figure out when you want it at 100%" thing has simply never worked for it. It gives up and goes straight to 100% about 80% of the time. If I can reliably stop it at 80% I'd love to use standby mode and use it as my bedside clock.
Mine doesn’t show the option even i updated to 17.2.1
Is just for that new models?
yes
yes
Why 80%? If I had only charged to 80% before work today it would be 15 or 20% right now. Why 80%? That seems crazy.
The way lithium-ion batteries work could increase your battery life, maybe adopting this setting your phone will last a year longer
Keeping your battery between 20% and 80% prevents your battery from reaching higher levels of degradation on the extreme ends (the 20 percent on each side)
To save battery life
@@txic_sensei7224 it works out great. I love this phone!
when ever I turn it on it always charges past 80
How much does it stop at then? does it go all the way to 100 even you turn it on?
@@shalesj1493 yeah will charge to 100 even if the setting is turned on
For the first charge, it will be 1% to 100% but then next charge it will be capped to 80%
@@jimmydpeace2730 you say after 1% to 100% does it start the charge limit after a full discharge or just after a few cycles?
@@smart3e For me, it took a single charge so I suppose yeah, may as well be vary for others but that's what I found out
Is it only for the the 15 pro models ?
Or is available for 13 as well?
No just for the 15 series any older iPhones are just gonna continue dying rapidly as usual 😡🙄
That’s so dumb and greedy from Apple tbh. If you have an older phone you need to babysit it if you want to keep your battery health 😂
Unbelievable that my 14pm doesn’t support this.
@crisper1614 it sucks Apple knows this feature will slow down battery aging so they only added it to this year's models they want our batteries to continue aging rapidly so we would consider upgrading
Mine charles up to 80% anyway….
Me too, I have this disabled it it won’t charge to 100%
Me too , asked apple support and they said it was a software problems and asked me to do restart, i tried but the result is still the same
Great
What’s the benefit of limiting it to 80%?
Increases you battery lifespan
@@amanjotsingh6580how? It doesn’t seem to make sense.
The most optimal battery charge is 20-80 percent@@Iceland874
charging above 80% degrades battery faster , i.e getting to 90% in one year
by preventing that will make the decline slower
Doesn’t work at all
Crap. Well at least it is something they want to add. Let's hope they get that tuned up quick-like.
It works perfectly well for me.
Wow, that's great to hear. First time I've heard somebody chime in to say so.
@@Violamanben
its for iphone 15
Doesnt work i have iphone 12
it is a feature only for the new iphones 15.
