Yeah, I think he just rolled a Lala at the start because It's FFXIV's answer to WoW's gnomes... But once he learnt that Lala's tend to lean towards more morally ambiguous personalities, he just embraced it fully.

The highly expressive characters with a staggering amount of emotes really amps up Pints anime and editing style.
The FFXIV edict continues to be proven true: You either quit the game in ARR, or you live long enough to become a walking advertisement.
I mean, where do I fit into that? I play FFXIV for like... 2, maybe 3 months every expansion. Because I think it's a good game that's worth playing through and that I think has certain aspects that put it above something like WoW, but don't think it has enough core endgame content in any given patch to justify sticking around for more than a few weeks once I hit that point. I also strongly dislike how deterministic gearing is outside of Savage Raiding. If I can look at a spreadsheet to determine exactly what gear I will be wearing on what day from Day 1, it kills my motivation to keep the grind up. Some amount of not knowing what's coming is good, and FFXIV has so very little of it -- the opposite problem of what WoW has had at times.
I haven't "quit" FFXIV. It's just not my ideal game once I catch up to endgame content, so I tend to play in a burst in the beginning of an expansion (including some early endgame gearing before I lose steam), then catch up on story a couple times throughout the expansion, but otherwise stay away.

@@Ventorath Yeah after that part you just hang out with friends and have fun doing things that are just fun, or one of the games many achievement related hellgrinds.

@@Ventorath works for me, i take it slow because I have enough time to only play on weekends because of my job so if they added more stuff/grind I would not be able to keep up with content

edit: I see a lot of people often misinterpret Alisae's feelings toward the WoL as well. A lot of redditors think that Alisae has a crush on you but if you finish Coils and remember her brief appearance in ARR MSQ, one of her endearing traits is that she's prone to hero worship. First her Grandfather, and then post Coils, you.
You're both a massive source of inspiration for her to push herself. Ofc she also wants to show up her brother as well and yeah, she's great. Hope we get a time skip and she job changes to Warrior.

The Goblet is the housing area for Ul'Dah and is generally considered to be the least attractive of the housing areas, with Shirogane (Kugani) and The Mists (Limsa) being the most popular for the view.
Unless you are on balmung, where the Goblet allows an easy commute to the Quicksuck

@@roqet1973 Nah, you're better off using the mist, tele to Limsa, then head to the boat to get to Quicksuck for cheap from anywhere (unless you are already in Ul'dah).

I mean it doesn't really matter till you hit max level, right? I basically didn't meld anything till 80 and it didn't change anything.
@@shrubninja6444 extracting Materia when when your spiritbond with a piece of gear is at 100% you get a free piece of Materia from it. Low level gear gives low level Materia however.

the Goblet is the first housing area that opens up for you, it is a level 5 quest that opens it, so yeah, it has the cheapest housing I guess

we call it.. THE CLICK-WARS! welcome! It.. is not unusual that this happens at all. Sadly not. Which is why people have such high hopes for the new expansion. Both the new island that no one knows where it is and the new housing area in ishgard together with new rules on how to get houses. There are rumors there are people that are just paying subscription to keep their large house or medium. I would LOVE a new house but I got noooo energy for the click-wars. Too brutal for me!

Tank role elemental armor. Requires grinding through all 4 Eureka zones, fully upgrading a relic weapon, unlocking 50 actions, and then grinding some more for currencies to buy each piece.
But it's the most eye-catching armor in the game so it's worth it.

It'd take something like straight up firing and remaking most if the dev team at this point, I'm sure. At least the ones who talk to the playerbase. They've got their heads that they'll never change and start listening to somebody else's feedback about the game.

Can someone seriously explain why so many WOW players call FFXIV a "Vibrant Colored" game? WOW is in a complete cartoony style with extreme bright colors. FFXIV is the direct opposite.
Because they don't normally look at the screen playing WoW, they are too busy watching Netflix on the second monitor ;).
Cause in FF every skill has it's own animation with it's own effects and that for some reason disturbs wow players that have been playing 17 years with the same 3 animations for all their skills.

I feel like reaction vids should have to pay a fraction of their profits to the reacted to video. Pints videos are criminally underwatched and deserve at least twice the views and the fact some reactions get more views then his video is sad.
I mean, it's free exposure. The hardest part about bring a youtuber is getting seen in the first place. He wouldn't have nearly the amount of viewers he has now if people never reacted to his videos. It's invaluable for small youtubers.

Its just similar. If you watch Pint's WoW content its pretty much his own style. With the amount of effort that goes into both of their edits, calling either a "copy" feels really weird.

FF is a nice game but it will never have the emergent meta gameplay WoW classic will have. Betraying your guild..non starter because there are no pvp servers,
what is this shiity UI? imagine if these content farmers would actually give good critism and feedback to the game not just content farm. Imagine a final fantasy game with good action combat, ability to tame open world monsters as your mounts, fun gamemodes from Arena, open world raid bosses people would fight over for.... even Capture the fla g or King of the hill. make it free to play. sell good skins. thats what Final fantasy genre needs. also good social system like voice chat or voice bubbles or like New World chat I guess... the game has some really good PvE elements, music, zones bosses, story.. but its not a complete game
lack of social features like chat bubbles, smaller nameplates aka small text font size option (last time I checked there was only normal and big option=) and no vocie chat. you have an outdated combat and subscription model with convoluted login/register/buy game systems. u lack social and PvP updates. u lack innovation. u don't even wanna complete game. u don't combine PvE elements with PvP. like open world raid bosses where players and guilds would fight to contest them. they could drop epic mounts. or exp/gear tokens that could be 1 alternative to story progression. or the ability to tame open world monsters as your mount. but most good mounts are locked behind a paywall or insane grind. u don't have Frontline sound or graphic notification. the lack of PvP mounts/events/quests. u only care about PvE and story players.u focus on shemale model instead of updating your game lol. also no blue mage in PVP (most good MMORPG animations main character is classless class. from Kirito to the main character in the Kings avatar animation.
u don't have a single good 4v4 map like Heavens Arena from the King's avatar. FFXIV community could learn a lot from the Kings Avatar animation from Tencent. your combat too. 20 years behind. no skillshots or dodges, not even hybrid action combat like gw2, let alone true action combat like smite or Vindictus...2.5s global cooldown time with tab target combat in 2021... and they thought they are gonna solve the issues of combat by just adding crazy animations...but that cluttered the game and now they cannot even lower global cd time because of that. lack of social interaction. because u only have chat box that gets spammed whole day and emotes. emotes are nice but feel like u also need chat bubbles or voice chat. games 15 years ago successfully implemented chat bubbles. also new players cannot their content on ffxiv reddit, u have blocked comments on your FFXIV promotion videos so people cannot discuss it.... you take people that care for the game and complain as "toxic"...

doesn't change the fac the game has 500 ms animation lock + 2.5s global cd tab targeting combat. 20 years behind. they thought they will fix the combat by adding crazy animations, but that also just cluttered the game. mybe they could lower global cd to 2 second but anything lower hard because crazy animations. but the core problem si still there. tab targeting combat. not even hybrid action combat with skillshots and dodges. elt alone true action combat like Smite, Vindictus r the Kings Avatar animation. WoW TBC, for example, ahs bunch of instant casts too but only 1 second global cd. also wow tbc has chat bubbles and voice chat... ffxiv only has emotes and chat box. and it sux watching into chat bo whole day that get spammed. it is not socially interactive. or actually good 4v4 map like heavens Arena from the Kings Avatar or open-world raid bosses where players and guild could fight to contest them....or ability to tame open world monsters as your mount....innovate....more PVP events/rewards/mounts, combine PvE and PVP elements... and ffxiv community often mix competitive spirit and rivallry with toxicity
