In my opinion girls get held to an unfair higher standard because guys will automatically assume that any semblance of popularity they have it's because of their attractiveness and not their talents.
Some of the greatest bass players in history and some of the greatest basslines recorded are regarded as being so great due to their Simplicity yet ability to drive the song and remain in pocket, reinforcing the low end of the melodic section while locking in with the Rhythm Section.
But if any female musician tried playing with any level of Simplicity then everyone hops on them saying that they're not good and that they're only famous because of their tits

If a musician is playing the role of their instrument withtin the song than they are a good musician at their instrument
If a bassist only plays roots they can play bass because they are putting in the much needed low end into the mix (without it being too muddy and cluttered)
If a guitarist is only playing power chords they can play guitar because they are filling out the mids and keeping the underlining chord progression going
If a keyboardist is only playing simple melodies they can play keyboard as long as they are in time and stay in the high mids and treble (same with vocals).

She's giving the songs the bottom end that they deserve and she's holding down the groove along with the drummer. The other part of this is that she's an Entertainer and of course she's going to look pretty and have moves on stage that are probably practiced and planned out along with the facial expressions and the hair flips, etc. but that's part of entertaining the audience and giving them a good visual show. Being visual and giving the audience something exciting to look at is part of the show as well. They’ve grown up playing and learning instruments so yes she can play. I’ve seen a few of their clips behind the scenes and they all play really well.

sounds corny, but she’s everything i aspire to be as a bass player. great stage presence, technique (in both hands), can sing lead if need be, leaves room for other instruments to shine and still manages to fill up the sound, even in a 3 piece. this band single handedly got me into music & playing bass just shy of 3 years ago. they’re also the tightest live band imaginable

Not only that but her bass lines are strong enough to carry the song in parts where the guitar is silent as well as build the foundation so the drums and guitar can go a bit wild.

This girl plays behs. And she’s consistent on sound and on serving the song taking into account they are a power trio.

Her bass lines have great taste and fit the music perfectly. They write great rock songs.

They can play. They all grew up as musicians. I look like a fucking walrus, I have no "image." I rock a bass. The fact they're hot has nothing to do with their talent.
