Catch and cook … 😂. Great video guys! This is why I love RUclips, total off the wall fun mixed with ridiculous and inventive content. Cheers from Florida! Subbed 👊🏼
I remember seeing a group of people hook a ski rope to an aluminum canoe like that and started pulling it with another boat. 2 guys sat at the back of the canoe. The front of the canoe was way out of the water and the back end looked like it was underwater. they would lean the canoe and it would carve a turn that you had to see to believe.
I built something about 2/3 as ridiculous as this, but somehow I have managed to take it camping 3 miles offshore in Florida multiple times. Maybe I need a YT channel too 😂
Other way around. If anything the older motors made more power than what's pasted on the cowling. Newer engines are derated for both reliability's sake and emissions regulations. There is a reason the typical 2 stroke 50 will outrun a 4 stroke 50 on the same hull.
Um no im guessing you dont work with outboards much then. Im a marine engine tech and old vintage outboards are shit compared to newer ones in hp efficiency. Also you are comparing 2 stroke to 4 stroke. Im saying comparing to 2 stroke vs 2 stroke.
@@DatBlueHusky umm no, "newer" OBs are 4 stroke. So for all intents and purposes, this comparison has to be 2 stroke to 4 stroke. The only "newer" 2 stroke is the ETEC and that's not really a 2 stroke anyway. If you want to compare vintage 2 stroke to classic 2 stroke then by all means we can but that's not what you said regardless of what you actually meant.
@@DatBlueHusky The other guy is right. Not to mention old outboards are MUCH lighter than new power for power. Even 2 stroke for 2 stroke, right before Evinrude went under they made a 150hp 2t that weighed 408lbs. Lightest 150hp outboard in the modern age, but an absolute pig compared to those of old. For less than 400lbs you could get 260hp in an 80s Mercury 2-stroke V6. Those engines, modified today, weigh close to 300lbs and can make as much as 400hp. And similar stories are true with smaller power outboards like 90hp. A 90hp Yamaha 2 stroke triple is significantly lighter than any 90hp made, designed, or produced in the last 15-20 years.
My favorite line “I can see why the indians just paddled”😂

Now that’s a good idea!
Amazing.... I'm not sure in what way it's amazing, but it's still amazing. LOL.

That’s gotta be a good story. I can’t imagine going into open water with this canoe.
Epic!

Hey @airborne do an outboard on a pedal boat!
Not a bad idea!
next time use an outrigger
REMOTE CONTROL FOOTBALL VIDEOOOOO
Soon
those motors are not 50hp, its more like 30 because old motors are super inefficient as the newer engines
