Ashish Vidyarthi saahab, you are my favorite actor. Shubham Langote is an accomplished artist. But I like to introduce a fact that has been missed here to be recognized. Here is the missing link-
Taisho period 1912-1926, during which, Japanese introduced the first string based instrument in western design by Suzuki - RAN model. The instrument then started being known as Taishokoto and became very popular in eastern cultures. India had Mysore Tarang which was string based instrument (Veena). NMKedar of Maharashtra modified Taishokoto and added features from Mysore Tarang and came out with the First Indian Professional banjo. That became popular in matter of years among musicians in India and abroad among the vast Indian diaspora. N.M.Kedar design was copied by many other producers. Currently, his son, K. M. Kedar runs the production line. But over the decades, the producers of the Indian Banjo are spread all over India under different brands - Super Banjo of Satara, Maharashtra, Sartaj Banjo of Haryana, Few banjo makers in Gujarat and many in Mumbai, Kamlesh Banjo from Rajasthan.
So, the development of today's version of Indian banjo is from the hybrid design between Taishokoto of Japan and Mysore Tarang of India.
