Your No place like home is AWESOME! Love the pics of your trip! Enjoyed the video
Wow what a great week of adventures ya’ll had. Kentucky looks like a fantastic place to visit. Love your wizard of oz quilt Mr. Sean. Turned out amazing. Your piecing is crazy good. Thanks for sharing with us. The wicked witch is stunning. Have a terrific week sir.
Sounds like a great week with yarn, fabric AND baseball 💙🎉💙 Your Carnival quilt is a beauty. I think my favorite block from No Place Like Home is the Wicked Witch.
G'day Andi! We had a lovely week in KY. Yay for another fan of the wicked witch block!
Nice Wizard of Oz quilt! I’d like to travel to Great Britain: Scotland, Ireland, England, Wales.
Each block has its own “wonderful” merit making a choice difficult! FLYING MONKEY! 🐵
What an amazing vaca for you two!!! And hello from Indiana!!!
And you got to meet Brenda!!!
Have another great week, Sean!!!😊
I like the colours of your new mystery sew along. Looks like you had a lot of fun on your vacation.
Me too. Its different to what i normally use but I'm looking forward to it. Amber did a great job picking it for me. We had a great time in Louisville.
I would love to go to Italy and Australia
Excellent week! I love the whole quilt. I can’t pick an individual block because you did a great job on all of it.
Thanks Persida. I agree they are all lovely. I do like the wicked witch block. I think the colours are what makes it special for me.
Hi Guy Who Sews! My favorite is the flying monkey! Beautiful quilt! I'm glad you and your wife got to have a great time!
G'day Sharon. The flying monkey has a lot of fans here. Im really pleased with how the quilt turned out. Its going to look even better when the mini block border is finished and attached. We had a lovely time in Louisville. Lots of fun things to do. Sadly i didnt make it to any quilt shops.
I love the quilt! Very stunning. Your craftsmanship is very particular and concise. Great job Sean. Fun trip to Louisville with the wife. Yaaaay😊
aww thanks Diane. These patterns have taught me a lot especially how to be precise. Like a jigsaw puzzle they wont fit as there is very little wiggle room. We had a great time in Louisville.
Your Wizard of Oz quilt is beautiful!!!!!
Thanks Sonja. Im really pleased with it. It's going to look even better once the mini block border is all done and added :)
That is such a fun Quilt!! 😊 Scare crow is cute, but hard to pick favorite. So glad you had a great time in Louisville!
It was a lovely city to visit and it was really neat being able to meet you and your husband.
The wizard of Oz quilt is fabulous. I agree the wicked witch is my favourite too. Asia. I would love to go on tour to Asia. Looks like you had a great week away.
G'day Zaza. Asia would be fun to visit. The place in Asia i would like to visit most is Japan. We had a nice week away and the doggos enjoyed seeing new places and sniffing new sniffs as well.
If money were no object I'd love to travel all around the UK. Love your "No place like home" quilt!!😊
That would be fun Linda. I would love to just wander and explore the little towns etc in the UK too. Just have to add the mini blocks and borders around the edge. So close to the end :)
Your vacation looked like fun!! I can imagine the fun Amanda had in the yarn shop. Your wizard of Oz top looks fantastic and it's hard to pick just one favorite block. Your carnival turned out amazing as well. I would go to Scotland, Ireland, Australia and NZ if I could.
G'day Melissa. We ended up visiting 6 yarn stores during our time in KY. Amanda and her bestie enjoyed them all. Its not an easy task picking a favourite block but for me i think the wicked witch is my favourite. Those are all great destinations. I still need to get to the UK someday. NZ is stunning and would love to get back sometime.
Love the Wizzard of Oz quilt and happy you andAmanda had a great time.
G'day Joyti! We enjoyed our week away and so did the doggos.
Sean, I hope your wife got some yarn for her knitting projects 😂😂😂. Great videos of your trip. Glad you had a great time. Will have to watch replay of both Saturdays videos.
Hi Joan. I think she got two skeins of yarn. She bought more notions than anything else which was her goal. She was able to check off a number of items on her wishlist.
Hi Sean good to see you. Love to see your adventures and places in America. If I had the money I would love to go there.. you certainly achieved a lot this week. Nice to see 5he dogos catch you next time. Love to you and Amanda. Xxxx
G'day Ange. I realized i hadnt included any footage of the doggos in the last few episodes so made sure to include them this time. Glad you enjoyed seeing the footage around Kentucky. It was a lovely place to visit.
How exciting - you went to Louisville, KY! I’m in Kentucky but I’m in Monticello - about 3 hours from Louisville! I’ve not been there yet! Glad you had a great time. If I could go anywhere I would go to Italy…since my dad is 100% Italian…I think that would be neat! Oh and as for the Alice in Wonderland quilt..it is hard to choose from which one I like best…but I think I’ll go with the flying monkey! Have a great week!
All the Oz blocks are great .. but I agree that the witch is really cool!
G'day Cindy. I agree they all look great but like you said there is just something special about the witch block.
Your trip looks amazing!!!! Baseball… yes! Am happy that you were able to follow your heart and be in a club seat!!! Great sewing again this week Sean. Where would I go if I had the $$$$. Mmmmm not real sure
I loved going to the baseball game. Upgrading to the club seats was worth every penny and so glad i did that. I would do it again if other parks had a similar option. Its usually too expensive at the MLB parks.
Love the wizard of oz quilt it’s so cute
Thanks Joyce. I am really pleased with how nicely it turned out.
Beautiful quilt
Thanks. I thought it turned out really nicely. Hope you are doing well.
I would love to go to Germany again. Lived there for 2 years many years ago when my hubs was in the Army.
Oh that would be fun. I would love to visit Germany sometime.
Love your oz quilt top looks like Louisville Kentucky and looks like a lot of fun places to see💞
G'day Helen. Yes it was Louisville KY. It was a fun place to explore. Sadly i didnt make it to any quilt shops.
@@TheGuyWhoSews well maybe next time you go there you can see quilt stores😊
I like the whole quilt
Me too Theresa. I thought it turned out really nicely. Now i have to figure out how to quilt it.
What a fun trip! That is great you met with Brenda. I am so glad that you and Amanda got to go on vacation with Amanda's friend as she had to cancel last year. I guessed Missouri for the bridge location. I am glad you got the Wizard of Oz quilt out of the sin bin. My favorite block is the tin man. I am excited to see what quilts you are making for the girls. Looking forward to the 2 lives next Saturday. My goal is to get anything sewn. I have not been sewing as I have been sick with pneumonia.
Prayers you feel better fast!
Oh no. I've pneumonia twice and its not fun. Im glad we didnt have to cancel this year and got to go. The tin man is one of my favourites too. Im glad i switched out some of the greys and put more focus on the sheen fabrics. Hopefully you can get back in your sewing room soon.
Glad that you had some much deserved time off - would love to do a cruise from home (YvR) down the coast and through the Panama Canal finishing in Boston
Thanks Deb. That cruise sounds amazing. I think they do those as repositioning cruises right? I found one that id like to do as a retirement gift to myself. Its a 90 day trip to and from Australia from the west coast.
You had a wonderful adventure.
I definitely did. I didnt get to any quilt shops but had plenty of other adventures.
I would like to go to Fresno california. An immigrant from Italy was sold land sight unseen. He traveled to america to discover his dream of having an orange orchard would be impossible. But he made do with what he had. You see the land was rather dessert with a very shallow layer of rock that would make growing trees impossible. So he started digging. He dug a home, and then figured out a way to capture water in cisterns. He also figured out a way to plant those orange trees under ground. When it was harvest season he would just go to ground level above and pick the oranges. I cannot remember what this was called or the name of the guy, but it is on youtube. I think you went to Kentucky by the looks of the name on the ballpark. PMQ looks fantastic!
G'day Dawn. Hope you are doing well. Love the story you shared with us. Closest ive been to Fresno is probably Monterey. Its a pretty part of the country. Yes it was Kentucky. We enjoyed our week there.
Hi Sean! I really enjoyed your podcast! It was fun to see your adventures in Louisville and also all the sewing you've accomplished this week. It's so exciting that you and Amanda will be hosting two exchange students again so soon! Will you have boys again or will the ladies rule the roost this school year? :) Where are your students coming from? I hope you have a wonderful week and thank you for your great video!
G'day Ruth. So happy you enjoyed the podcast and clips from our adventures :) We will have two young ladies joining us this August for the school year. One is from Denmark and the other is from Germany.
Hi Sean! So nice that you spent time with one of your viewers!! Fun trip. My favorite block is still the flying monkey. I have always wanted to go to Australia but not a fan that everything there wants to kill you!! Lol
Gday Marie. It was really nice meeting Brenda and her husband. It's true that there are a lot of venomous creatures in Australia but for the most part you have to go out of your way to find them. I've seen more venomous snakes here in America then Australia. And if you go during the American summer it's winter time there and much of the dangerous animals are resting.
Love you quilt of valour …
Thank you Inez. I am really pleased with it too. So colourful. I had not done a red white and blue quilt before but glad i chose this one.
Louisville, KY
Yep you got it right. It was a nice place to visit.
Carmen Sandiego? Rockapella was the best part!
Is Louisville a yarn capital? That seemed a lot of shops!
I've walked to Maine before across a bridge. That was an amusing story.
G'day Russ. It had less yarn stores than Pittsburgh that we visited a few years ago. I think we went to 6 total in Louisville and Pittsburgh was about 8. There was one store we didnt go to as they had weird hours and was a town or two over. You'll have to share that bridge story with me sometime.
Love the scarecrow.
Its among my favourites too. It was one of the more challenging blocks. Maybe it was due to the little pieces and being towards the beginning of the project. I was happy and proud of myself when it was done and learned so much from it.
I love the flying 🐒
Me too. Its a cute block.
I would like to go to Austria.
Austria would be beautiful with all of the cute little villages and the Alps.
I would love to go on a European Cruise
Yes that would be super fun. The New England/Canada cruises are a lot of fun too. So much so we did two of them a year apart.
Hi Sean, happy Monday! Love your wizard of oz. Travel-wise we'd love to go to all the states together -- i've been to 2 and mark to 3 i think more, so a long way to go. Other than that, Greenland! Had been all ready to book an insane special I found when the world changed :/ Snow watch cancelled, actually cold enough though :(
G'day Paula. Hope you make it over this way again sometime. And if you make it to Greenland you will have to let Katy from Greenland quilter know so you can meet her too. It would be weird to see snow in Brissy.
I would like to go to Japan.
Me too Shelley. My sister and her husband went there about 10 years ago and loved it. One day ill make it there.
I have Australia on my bucket list if money was not an issue
Its a beautiful place to visit Jen. Its a looooong plane ride though.
Too hard to pick just one block as a favorite. I love several...flying monkey.....lion and Toto You are in Louisville Kentucky
G'day Kelsey. It is hard to pick a favourite but my favourite is the wicked witch. You got it right about Louisville :)
I know the flying monkey was a challenge but it is my favorite
G'day Jen. The flying monkey seems to be the most popular answer for the favourite block. I guess i did leave the best for last :)
YUP. ELPHABA, the wicked witch who really wasn't so wicked. Thanks Sean. Have a g'Day. I would like to travel to Italy and visit Tuscany.
Who taught me to sew??? My momma. I was very young.
Your travels looked like fun. That bridge looks like a place to visit. How did you find Kentucky? Never been there. Did you go to Hancock's of Paducah?
G'day Terie. I need to read the book Wicked and learn more about her. We need to visit Italy now that we had Lorenzo stay with us. I love that your mum taught you to sew. My mum was gone years before i took any interest. We loved Kentucky. So much to see and do. I considered a day trip to Paducah but it was on the other side of the state and 4 hours each way just wasnt in the cards. Maybe next time.
I have to say the flying monkey is my favorite! They all turned out great! I was wondering….do you quilt your tops yourself or send them to a long armer?
G'day Doralee. The Flying Monkey has a lot of fans here. I quilt my tops myself but am not against the idea of sending some out to a long armer if that is the better idea.
Ok gonna take a wild guess here from a couple of clues I will say you're in Louisville.!!! If money was no issue, start with Ireland skip over to Scotland down to England, hope over to Europe and then do a around the world trip.
Sounds like a great trip Lawayne. I would love to wander around the UK and Europe. You got it right about Louisville.
