The instrument is a Hurdy-Gurdy.
Patty Gurdy was a guest artist on this show. The lead singer Noa Gruman is phenomenal, composer, a trained classical musician, sometime soprano opera singer, music and video producer, set designer, trains the amazing choir Hellscore who have also appeared with other artists and in film scores, etc. The bass player Orr Didi writes much of their music with Noa.
He is probably one of the most accomplished bass guitarists in the world today.
They are also big on the European music festival scene (especially).

First of all, I like your reaction, thx a lot. 🙂 Besides all of the solos I'd like to point out the absolute genius of the bassist Orr Did, who wrote the music. It's one thing to have good solos in a song - but to put them all together in that way and make a real epic song out of it is the hard thing. The video by the way was shot in and around Tel Aviv. It came out late because Patty Gurdy, the hurdy-gurdy player, couldn't get to Israel on the desired date 2020 because of COVID. You should definetely check out more from Scardust, but please don't forget the choir - Hellscore, conducted by Noa Gruman from Scardust and therefore of course also from Israel. And if you want to hear more about the hurdy-gurdy, you should check out Patty Gurdy closer. She has her own youtube-channel (own songs and vlogs for explaining the hurdy-gurdy and other stuff) and is currently working on her second solo-album, this time with what she calls "tavern-music". Additionally she will be performing with the Scotland-founded pirate-metal-band Alestorm on the European festivals in July. Maybe their recent song "Voyage of the dead marauder" (Alestorm ft. Patty Gurdy) could be interesting for you as well.

BTW this band has a loyal following in Israel (mainly heavy-metal, progressive rock,and dream-theater fans) but most Israelis are not familiar with their music at all, possibly because they also sing predominantly in English
