    We have two 2015 zks with Kohler 29hp efi, 52" cut. I've always used Kawasaki motors. We love the speed, cut, and the comfortable ride. I've had back surgery in the past and they don't hurt my back. Easy on and off.

    Idk man I bought a z3x ferris in 2015 it had 4500 hrs on it 2 yrs ago and it was all original I called the dealer they took it in and ferris bought it back for full price and gave me a new one for free it was oe and only thing I had to change was fluids and 2 batteries over the time and 6 sets of rear tires thats it. We estimate it drank about 800 barrels of fuel in that time frame and it was the 37hp and oil gaurd system

    Good vid. You need to test out the Ferris ZR3 61 inch stander, before saying there is no comparison. Suspension is better on the Ferris, and with the 37 hp FI engine with the 500hr oil guard system maintenance time is way less. Deck cut is great as well. Blessings

    Great mower, should have got with the EFI Kohler. I picked one up last Spring. Downside with Wright is you can not push big piles of leaves. So, we still run Toro Grand stands. The wright is not as good on hills as I thought would be with such a tight footprint and lower center of gravity. Does not want to tip, just traction is crap. But for comfort, wright is awesome. Instant response in controls.

    Stuck with the Grandstand because it is 895lbs vs. 1035lbs In the soupy spring and fall that makes a difference to us. I loved the ZK but it was more harsh on the turf in our conditions. =/

      @bofkaycee Glad it works for you, but the heavier machines just dont hold hills without the damage I am trying to avoid. Its 2020, ALL these machines are 20% too heavy imho including trim mowers...theyre still in at the 120+ lb level lol Its crazy.

      No idea, never had a mower that long. My Grandstand has 1400 hours on it and still doing good. Just had a couple of minor hydro leaks but one was still covered under warranty at the time. But I would imagine 2000 hours is getting up there for any commercial mower...

    You need to get a Ferris Z3X 61" with the 37hp Vanguard/oil guard system. That is the only mower that is a good comparison "apples to apples. The Z3X is better in many ways, even though the Wright is pretty good.

    Why cutting the grass towards the street. Hope you don’t leave it on the street, that’s messed up. I rather cut towards the house. Well it’s ok just for demonstrations but you need to blow that later.

    • @LawnCareRookie
      @LawnCareRookie  2 года назад

      Yes, I blow everything off. You have to go in different directions if you want to stripe properly, and you're going to face the road, driveway, and sidewalk at some point. That's why we blow everything off when we're done.👍

    I would like try a wright but we do not have any stocking dealers here we have dealers that are in there net work but they do not stock any of them. I called and talked to the people at wright and they said they didn't sell well around here is why the dealers stopped stocking them. I'M not going to buy any piece of equipment that is not stocked because if they dont stoick they want have parts in stock when i need them.

  • @rootedinlovehomestead4499

    I only have 1 complaint with wright mowers. Their decks are trash for thick tall northern lawns.

    • @LawnCareRookie
      @LawnCareRookie  4 года назад

      Get super high lift blades. You can thank me later 👍

    • @rootedinlovehomestead4499
      @rootedinlovehomestead4499 4 года назад

      LCR I don’t run wright mowers. My buddy does and he has tried everything. High lift. Super high lift. Removing baffles.
      I do agree that the mower itself is indeed revolutionary and it’s engineering. And I don’t blame wright for it. Every company can miss stuff in their R&D.
      I’m a toro guy personally when it comes to the walk behind and standers since they are so similar and parts are so readily available at my dealer. Ztr is a Dixie chopper though. Can’t say enough good about that thing.

      I live in Wisconsin and have 3 ZK's 61, 61, and 72". I am not sure what you are talking about. These are the best mowers on the market. As Ed Wright says, there is no deck that is perfect for every situation. Watch his videos on deck design. The front of your blade needs to hit before the back, or your blade cuts the grass multiple times. I also have Skags. Skags are probably the next best mower on the market, with the second best cut. However, Skags are not built or designed as well as a Wright. I love that they run at 12.5 mph. Good luck.
