I wasn't sure whether to share this as it's so raw. I recorded this a couple of weeks ago after breaking up with my girlfriend (from an 8 year relationship). I couldn't eat, sleep or do anything so I thought I'd channel my emotions in to a slow minor blues. I look like shit here, but the music that came out was pretty intense. We have since fixed things and are back together now. This is what heartbreak sounds like!

Will, so the real blues from the heart, touching on the roots of blues and " field hollers " derived from life's events. Your externalized feelings breathing life into this somewhat haunting song. It's sounding deep, yet beautifully done. Best of luck with your personal life. It is amazing though what music can grow from the heart.

Hey, Will. I should add in that your song of feelings and heart ache has a call and responce between the heart, brain and circumstances I suppose. Roots of the raw blues. No commercialized aspects to this tune just pure feelings. Your to be congratulated for expressing it. Good on ya.

Hi Will great playing dude,In January my dear mother passed away,the day before died she made me promise to carry on playing my harmonica.At present I'm playing live with a band in local pub he customers love my playing and I enjoyed playing and making them feel good in these horrid times we are all in.I have gone through a rough time these past few months in may I was in a coma and on life support for 3 weeks when I got better and home I found I lost the will to play any more,then I saw one of your videos it inspired me to play again I'd lost a bit of my dignity I looked scruffy when I was out and about but now I've got my dignity back People stop me in the street and make nice comments about my playing this makes me feel good I can once again hold my head up and got my self respect back.Every time I play live I think back to what my mother said that fateful day and when I play life I think of her kind words and put some of my thaughts of what she said into my playing.id like to say you have been my biggest influence in my playing since I first heard you.I think you are the greatest harmonica player in the world today ever, Thank you n your music have helped and done me me good.So some time in the future I hope to come and see you live on stage.Thanx again.Andy (Atty X)

Masterful work my friend , your right on with this , as you know my wife Dawn passed away 5 months ago , we were married for 50 wonderful years and this is what pain sounds like . I am not as eloquent a player as you ( very few are ) but I'm going to learn this . Thank You

I too am going to give this a go . Can I play it on a G minor harp or does it have to be specially tuned if so were can I get one?. Thanks Will I feel the pain of her loss every day but being able to express it through the harmonica ( no way near your standard of course but as you will know that doesn't matter ) really helps me

That´s a beautiful tune with lovely note choices in the solos. Very emotional sounding, it reminded me of Gary Moore to be honest. I´m glad you fixed things and wish you the best of luck, mate!

It's a gift from the universe that people like us can use music to express their emotions. I play a bunch of instruments and it's such a relief. I'm trader, I took a huge loss some days ago, and I went to my guitar/harmonica to easy my mind and it worked. Back in the game looking to the future. I'm glad thinks worked out fine for you brother.
