Great report my friend. I’m glad you got to stick around and take the flight. I wish I could have. It was great to meet you, hopefully things will work our better next time we’re booked on the same flight!
Thanks for getting me in the video at 22:09 in the right aisle seat. I flew four segments of Canadian aircraft that day and booked the flights 2.5 months in advance. I was LUCKY! (8 hours of flying in 12 hours of travel)
We do that on Elal when we land in Tel Aviv. Did it last year. I started it and the whole plane followed suit. Very 👌 👋! Especially since it has been 31 years since I've landed on Israeli Israel 🇮🇱 soil for my then 50th Birthday Celebration!
I can hear the gasps from the bean counters over at AA and UA about the size of that lavatory and they telling themselves about all that wasted space that another row of seats could've fit in there.
That's so cool Jimmy was your gate agent! Such an awesome dude. He gave me an upgrade to first class when I flew through SLC. Awesome report! Glad to finally see the A223 flying.
Hi Emil! Too bad I bailed on y'all LOL! But it was great to finally meet you and the guys at SLC! I'll upload some pics on my next trip report of the A220-100 I flew to DEN instead. - Red
Truly a shame how the low quality service level does not compliment this beautiful aircraft. I recommend trying out Air Canada’s A220 business classes - nicer seats plus full meal service even for short haul flights. COVID has just given US airlines another excuse for cutting corners on service level.
Welcome to my home airport,IAH and Terminal A! I do agree, the P&W's do have that strange moaning sound when revving up. The new terminal at SLC is something I've yet to see, have only flown thru there once,in Dec '14,SLC-TUS on a CRJ-200. Am guessing you were the only avgeek onboard--my understanding is you relocated to Miami from San Diego for college, how do you manage to attend any classes if you're flying all over the country? Still waiting for your upload on your Aeromexico Mexico City-Leon connecting flight. SWA is inaugurating some new routes from new cities such as Miami and soon,Houston-IAH--any intention on checking them out?
Loved watching the video, and the couple jokes you snuck in :). Definitely sounded like an awesome ground experience from the CSA up there. I would love to fly the aircraft too. They brought the a220 to PHX once for a lax flight, would love to see the -300 on the slc route! Keep up the awesome videos!!!
Umm.. Since history isn't the strong subject let's correct it lol. Salt Lake City absolutely always had a Salt Lake. It's what the city was named after. The lake came before the city, and is actually the remnant of Lake Bonneville that started to shrink around 15,000 years ago. There are millions of geological remnants and signs of this lake in Utah. Including the Salt Lake itself and a "rim" that runs around the entire valley that is now the Bonneville Shoreline Trail. I still enjoyed getting a real life glimpse of our new airport tho.
on those e-mails that you get from Delta regarding your customer experience, I'm guessing that you're including a comment about adding soft drinks to the catering. Hope you had a pleasant stay in SLC.
Oh trust me, I will 😂. I’m including that and the fact that on my flight home they seated me next to a stranger, which I’m fine with, but I’m not fine with it when they advertise it as something they wouldn’t do
@@ITripReport I was initially assigned a window seat on the inaugural flight but I had to walk from the tarmac of terminal B and got there late, so they gave my seat to another individual. On the return flight to SLC, on the same aircraft, there were plenty of seats, so I wish I had brought my pillow as I had a window seat and a whole row. I got a single seat on all four flight segments that day. I bet after this pandemic they will offer a wide variety of refreshments.
From my point of view, I will switch to Delta, everything is better there, I love their first class seats, on the 737-900s and A220s, once at a time I change which plane is my favorite. My father flies American Airlines A LOT and tbh if AA still had their old 762s I would fly their products to see what the 1980s/90s/00s was like. The A220 is a beautiful airliner.
I’m glad you liked our Canadian designed aircraft! 😉 Just think, if it wasn’t for Boeing getting the US Gov to slap a huge “tariff” for this Delta order, we would still be calling this aircraft CSeries (CS300). Great work with the views! 👍✌️
Well, as a person that used to fly a whole bunch... Those engines are stupid silent... Remember the good old days when you knew the 747-400 was blasting off and every thing from birds to Pterodactys would GTFO the way because of the Devine roar of the heavens? I miss her so much....
I don't know where you're getting your info but N36272, the United 737 in the Star Wars livery, HAS NOT been repainted and it has no scheduled flights to any maintenance base in the next week.
Something is incorrect regarding number of seat. According to the Delta website A220-300 having 12Business, 30 Comfort+ and 88 Economy all together 130 seat. But here in this video only 12 Business and 108 Economy mentioned. If it has 30Comfort+ that means it has only 120 seat in this variant. Am I true ?
Note. Don’t put big text over the video especially during take off. It’s the part people want to see. Put it in the description if your not going to voice over.
While Delta's A220-100 has the same wireless IFE tech as the A330NEOs and retrofitted 767-400s, the difference between the A220-100 IFE and A330NEO/767-400 IFE is that the former is made by Hitachi while the latter is in-house by Delta. But what about the A220-300 IFE? Are the A220-300 IFEs in-house by Delta since the A220-300s, like the A330NEOs and 767-400 retrofits, are newer than the A220-100s, or are they outsourced by Hitachi since the A220-300 is in the A220 family like the A220-100?
Don’t let this distract you from the fact that the day this was uploaded the 737 MAX was un-grounded
From Salt Lake City, I love the new airport, but have yet to fly on the A220-100 or -300. Thanks for flying out of our awesome airport!
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That means bad news for passengers, cabin crew, and pilots. The A220 does every job much better than the MAX.
The 737 max the coffin aircraft ?
Why airlines are not getting this marvel aircraft they prefer the old and dangerous 737 MAX
It’s so cool how the gate they used was A23, to represent the A220-300

That describes DL, "limited service." COVID is a lame excuse for what they ultimately wanted, to reduce service to the minimum PAX would tolerate.
