Thanks for that Ramin. I'd be interested to see you break down emerging markets in a similar way and whether you feel a passive tracker fund or active fund is better value.....or to just hold EMs in a multi asset fund. decisions decisions eh?
thanks for the great analysis! I'm wondering what do you have to say about midcaps? they seem to have similar valuations and little better performance over the long run but also seem less volatile than small caps. i wonder what could be the reason for that
L&G Russell 2000 US Small Cap UCITS ETF currently tracks Russell 2000 Quality Factor Index. It has some quality tilt which makes it unique among Russell 2000 UCITS funds.
Hi Ramin, Thank you for the great content as ever. Given UK valuations are lower than the US, and given the relatively overvalued USD relative to GBP, is it likely a better long term bet to invest in UK small caps rather than US small caps at the moment?
Do you know what the ratio between small caps and all caps in all cap global indices such as the FTSE global All Cap or MSCI AWCI IMI is? I am trying to combine the iShares MSCI World Small Cap ETF and the iShares MSCI ACWI in my InvestEngine ISA (there is no all cap ETF there at the moment). I set the weightings to 0.12% and 0.88% because I read somewhere that "global equities account for approximately $70 trillion in assets, with almost 12% covered by the developed small-cap segment" (but that was an old article).
Hi Ramin, I'm just wondering how something like the MSCI World Small Cap Index (e.g. ticker WLDS) stacks up against Russell 2000 or S&P 600 - is it also under valued? Thanks
Great video Ramin. We are new to your channel. Is there any particular region which you feel offers better small cap value? UK, Europe, Japan? We keep reading that UK value stocks are the trade of the decade…?
Is it possible to access any of these funds in an ISA wrapper? If they are only available via ETFs, is there any platform where I can automate a fixed monthly amount to be paid into the fund? Many thanks :)
Excellent video! It would be great if you can help us to build a portfolio for a JISA account. What are the best ETFs to buy for the next 18 years at least, etc.
hi Ramin. I was looking for small cap value ex-US ETF (developed and/or emergency markets - similar to VSS ETF) for EU investor and preferably EUR hedged but didn’t succeeded so far. maybe you have any recommendation?
Large cap growth has outperformed for over 10 years so fund managerd do not launch small cap value funds. When SCV is fashionable they will launch funds at the worst time for investors but the best time for managers to attract AUM.
Do you really need that filter for profitability that the 600 gives over the russell 2000? At the end of the day you're diversified over a tonne of different conpanies? Also, why so much cheaper in the US. Larger market with more investors making it easier to charge a small fee and still be a profitable fund
great topic! RYLD is a russell 2000 covered call fund. ive been adding to this recently thinking things will be choppy but still want small cap exposure

I'd love to see you do a similar video for crypto small caps :)
Thanks for picking up on this subject Ramin. Would be great to see more material in a future on factor investing.
The SPDR small cap value funds USSC and ZPRX are worth a look. Not much choice for UCITS funds unfortunately.
Very good video.. I have some CT threadneedle US small cap which has done well except for recently because of the bank crises
Some great visuals in there Ramin 👍
Thanks, @Jon Audis
Much appreciated and very informative! I've been happy with my Avantis SCV ETF but always good to know about other options
Glad it was helpful!

Excellent information and analysis as always; thanks, Ramin!
AH! Ramin here when you need him, such a coincidence I was just looking for a small cap ETF
Hi @Kvurenukri Daehd Moroz I'm pleased I could help. Thanks Ramin
Of course you were.
@@tastypymp1287 Yes I was, and I chose the european small caps etf for myself
Really informative, thank you 😊

It'd be interesting to see how well this ETF would do against the S&P 600 actually.
Thanks for the great video. Do you have any particular preference between ETFs vs index funds?

Thanks Ramin. What percentage of a global ETF portfolio would you suggest allocating to a small cap ETF? Many thanks.
What Vanguard global small cap fund, for UK investors
The best Small Cap ETF is AVUV or AVDV, by far
Why?
Any update on your momentum based portfoilio?

The Financial Investment Industrial Complex will never stop trying to make you buy their products and services.
Never.
Why is your analyses so biased towards the US
You are based in the UK so should focus toward the FTSE
Maybe because the US has > 60% of the global market and the UK is around 4%
Why should he?
His location has absolutely no bearing whatsoever on what geographical market he wants to focus on.
That's an absurd assertion.
I agree he does talk about the us markets most of the time. I actually thought he lived in America 🇺🇸 yes uk Europe would be a make a change.
