  • Ever seen people clear entire shelves of baby formula at your local pharmacy or supermarket?
    Those shoppers may be Daigou - the Chinese practice of buying on behalf of someone else.
    It doesn't just stop at tins of infant food - beauty products, supplements, even organic food are all being bought in Australia and shipped off to buyers desperate for quality, genuine products.
    It's big money for those personal shoppers, and for Australian businesses it is estimated to be worth $1bn.
    Now, there are plans to regulate the buying frenzy.
