Hi Badger, I'm the dev for craftofexile.com, thanks for featuring my site in your video. I made the emulator module for people to be able to get a better grasp at how the crafting system works without consequence of wasting currency as well as providing a tool for ppl/streamers to show how to craft things without the need to burn currency amongst other things. Hope you have some fun with it! Also people have suggested to me that they be allowed to input custom prices for harvest crafts to have a proper spending budget output so I'm probably gonna do that.
Thank you so much for making this! I always wanted to get into crafting but it was super confusing and I definitely didn't want to burn my currency or make a mistake. I will definitely be trying this out!
@@craktsupermoto You can use the import base button in the calculator tab then "use calculator settings" when starting the emulator. This will import base/ilvl/influences. Unfortunatly i havent found a way to parse affixes yet because of the way the CTRL-C information is structured.
Crafting has always been something I didn't get much of an idea how it worked. Watching your streams and this have certainly helped me get my head around it better
The fact that PoE needs an emulator to teach people to craft shows how complex and deep the crafting system is. Seriously one of a kind. I love this game so so much.
As much as I love crafting in PoE, it is the least beginner-friendly part of the game. Especially once you get to high-end crafting where every attempt can cost you multiple exalts. Thank goodness someone made this website, now everyone can learn how to craft without worrying about wasting their hard-earned currencies.
Hey Badger, got an atlas question. Your video on atlas in Ritual, the first four watchstones, do you socket them on inside or outside of corners of atlas?
Is there a site that tells you which route will be the cheapest to craft a specific item? For instance, whether harvest is better or delve crafting or essence crafting?
So I'm crafting some cluster jewels, and I find it hard to comprehend the different damage types. In the case of fire damage over time (yes, your ignite build) - burning bright vs circling oblivion - is fire damage over time multiplier better than just damage over time? I would assume yes, but why? Have read that multiplier damage is a MORE type damage, but I gotta say, I don't really know, more what? Mostly posts about damage topics assumes the reader already knows their fair share, and I don't, so the posts more often than not is a bit pointless.
This is just another way to present the craftofexile page, which is not that great, since it only gives you the destination. A tool where you plug in the desired outcome and it shows you the path to reach it is what brainlets like me actually need.
This is not just another way to present the information, its a recreation of the crafting system as it is in the game, the calculator let's you the the probability of a certain outcome while the emulator let's you go through the whole process of crafting an item. Also regarding your second point, yes it would be very nice to have such a feature, when i first made craftofexile i had the goal of ultimately having it be able to suggest the cheapest way to craft an item, but with the addition of things like harvest, maven orbs and awakener orbs, this made it way more difficult to achieve, the computations involved are pretty insane. For now its out of reach.

Hey! It's such an awesome addition, especially for new players wanting to get into crafting and just play around - keep up the amazing work!
Great job emile!
This is a really cool tool, thank you for making it. It would also be awesome if you could import an item to start from too

Yes, more crafting please. Not just super end game. An overview of general crafting strategies and mechanics involved would be great.

great stuff !! playing game for years but always struggle with crafting ! this helps a lot . Ty mate
I love crafting. Grinding all the currency? Not so much. Lol
Awesome! I'm leveling my discharge build now. This will definitely help. Thanks for the content!
One of the best way to slam exalts without feeling guilty.
This is amazing for contributers to demonstrate how to craft. Like crafting 5 explode chests with step by step.
these devs deserve a nobel price. such a great project! thanks for showing it here :)
This is right up my alley.
This thing is awesome to show crafting route
I'm currently learning how to craft so thanks for this. BTW could you make a video or just tell me how to use Awakener's Orb in the Emulator?

Would love some crafting tutorials!
really useful, ty for sharing!
time to play That song again hehehe >> Badger song (Badger badger badger , mushroom mushroom)
That's a very cool tool.
Is this tool right about the Maven orbs? Can you actually upgrade multiple influence mods to tier0?
Yes. See Path of Math's multiple elevated influences video on this.

how to get the item after crafting into my character to use it

The problem with that is that there are so many ways to get to each outcome that it's not practical to do in most cases.
