Actually, these sorts of old traditional women-only gatherings were meant for women to have fun in themselves, to roast and make fun of the men and do silly skits. The blue dress girl(who is the sister of the bride) along with another girl, chose to perform a skit on the bride's brother-in-law(played by Salman) in the event, but they weren't describing Salman's true character in the skit though, in fact, he is more of a sweet guy in the movie and the sister of the bride is more playful. When he caught them making fun of himself in the event, he didn't get offended as he had already developed a crush on her, instead, he played along and joined in the fun. This is the movie in the history of Indian cinema to have the most audience footfalls in the theaters, ever. Most of the present generation youngsters were either not born or were toddlers at that time, but the movie and songs are pretty iconic to the date. This movie also established one of the most popular characters of Salman Khan called "Prem".
