@@LordForwind I am confused as to how to take over neighboring dukedoms/kingdoms without going to war. For example, if you're a king and your son becomes king of the neighboring kingdom I believe he becomes an independent ruler because he's of equal rank to you. If you were an empire would he suddenly become your vassal if he's still a member of your house? I believe same thing would apply if you were king and you had your son become duke of a neighboring dukedom. Would be become you're vassal or would he now pledge allegiance to that dukes king? I guess main idea of the guide would be how to leverage your extraneous kids/grandkids in your favor outside of your 1st born player heir.

in the case of the son being king, he would be independent but then on succession your lands would merge with his. Unless you enforced his taking the throne in a war, he will always be independent of you. The difference might be if he is your vassal and then he gets a throne while you are an emperor, I think in that case he will part of your lands. I'll considered doing a guide on this concept, thanks!

How do you assign your ruler to a band of soldiers? Is it in the knights tab?
Nope, if you click on the soldiers a tab opens on the bottom left, in that tab there is a circled arrow, like how you change councilors, if you click on that you get a list of all the commanders and can choose your ruler
Thanks for putting out these excellent guides. One thing I'm still super confused by is how/when to switch from tribal to feudal? Currently playing as Novgorod trying to establish the empire of Russia
Good question! You have to have a reformed religion, dev 10 in your capital, research all tribal reforms and have lvl 3 prestige I believe, if you click on the decision it tells you and shows which you are missing
in your england game in the video are you worried about that huge france also what is the best nation for crusades also i enjoyed the guide and sadly my icelandic empire fell
Not worried about France at all, I'm stronger and they break apart each generation
Wow i tried so hard to get good contenial traits ... got the 30% increase chance to inhert good contenial traits dynastie Perk, and my king good 6 childs after this. Non inherit the inteligent trait of their mother. Seems to be buged ... Ok at least the all children of my Sister/Lover, married to an homosexul knight of mine, got bad contentianl traits ;).
yeah its hard, 30% sound great but its like (dont know the exact numbers) +30% of 5 %, which still really small

out of 10 children 8 are genius, the 2 other is quick and intelligent and not from my cusin but concubines.

im doing one currently as Poland
