Honestly it kinda sucks they have to play against each other this early in the tournament. This would be a grand finals any day of the week

Well they got two finals. CTWC 2023 and CTM January. However, it is clear that Sidnev deserves a major tournament.

Statistics, mostly. These are the players most likely to do well in top level events, therefore there's a high likelihood of them running into each other.
There's probably a way you can predict how likely this matchup is to happen in any given month, if you've got a good enough sample of their track records in recent events.

small event and extremely winning players will run into each other a lot, in massive games like super smash brothers melee you can go a long way through a tournament without finding a common player a lot because tourney sizes are huge but in this game top 4 is not too crazy for either player and the way sidnev tends to qual lower makes the seeding work at matching the 2 a bunch

Since October 2023, Fractal has beaten and eliminated Sidney from:
    CTWC 2023
    CTM November 2023
    CTM January 2024
    CTM February 2024
    CTM Mega Masters (March) 2024

In October and December 2023, Fractal did not eliminate Sidnev. However, he did in November

    Fractal is definitely Sidnev's groundhog.

Sidnevs placement pre 29 is second to nobody, she sees things others cant but after 29 she doesnt look on the same level as Fractal, Alex, Dog, Andy or even Noah. She always looks half panicked as soon as the killscreen hits.

Tries to be too perfect/efficient, instead of just taking the small point losses on certain burns.
You can see in her early game that she is meticulous and mechanical, does the "textbook 101" optimal piece and line positions (S piece always to the right etc). In other words, playing the %'s.
Its hard for most players to translate that concept past 29 obviously.... if near impossible.
Watching Fractal, he plays by what the seed is giving him, and is a lot more flexible in positioning. He doesnt always take the % play, and instead plays for how he can clean up more optimally.
      Noone else really does this.
Sidnev is definitely better early game. Probably the best.
But once late game kicks in Fractals style and muscle memory pushes him past every other player, because his early game patterns allow for much adaptation to speed.
Its really really minimal in difference to what they are doing, but it translates so much more in the results. And in the past year, Fractal has sort of shown why.
P.s add on simple nerves and pressure, and it becomes exponential.

Personal bests of 6 million? Fractal nearly got to level 40 on the "Super" kill screen.
