I was a 3rd and the only CS at the station for 6 months. Literally did everything. BM1 made my life hell because he wanted everything his way.

People love "behind the scenes" content and your honesty about your life in the service as well as your open advice to people who are considering the service really adds a lot.
    Another well-done to you.

Wojoooo! Thank you for the mention and answering mu questions. The video I have been waiting for. THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH! I am excited for this new adventure enlisting in the USCG. Great videos CoaseRey_! I was a FN in the A-gang, on the Mellon in 2014-2015. Coasties have the best cooks and looks like a great crew for its final year. Would love to see some decommissioning videos of the Mighty Mellon.

Young lady the Mellon (WHEC 717), was a great ship to serve on! 👊 I served on the Mellon from 1980 - 1982. (EM)...I don't recall a cook having a CS rating - is that something new?
I realize this video is 2 yrs old...are you still in the Coast Guard? Regardless if you are or aren't...great video!

Why doesn't the Coast Guard show some of their CS training on videos? The only ones I've seen were either Army or Navy...but the Air Force, the Coast Guard and the Marine Corps won't do so for some reason. I mean they do have a video about what their CS does....but they just don't show you their entire training or classes, like they do for boot csmp, or rescue swimmers, msst's, bm's, quartermasters, and other career fields.
