- With the release of my two latest supplements for Last Days: Zombie Apocalypse it's time to jump into a new Campaign. This time around we'll be using the Chaos Theory expansion to randomly generate our Groups and Newcomers, so tag along as I prep my newest gang of Survivors to face the Zombie Apocalypse!

As a teenager I always liked to build character sheets even though I very rarely played. Sounds kind of sad but it always made a ton of stories jump into my imagination. A form of story driven entertainment without the television.
Rolling characters is half the fun of D&D!
Same for me. And now I'm working to make a novel out of my characters' stories. :D

This is perfect. I think it suits the survival horror genre so well. Gotta get by with what you've got!

Man I'm stoked to be watching your campaign. Always loved this game system and generally Zombie games, they are just great at telling tabletop bite-sized stories (heh, see what I did there?).

Sometimes I think you're my doppleganger or maybe I'm yours.... my char/warband gen process is the exact same (though I prefer F or B pencils ;p) and I have heaps of notebooks full of ideas I may eventually finish tidying up and digitising. Some go back to the mid-90s when I was a ripe old 12! [A 40k campaign, the oddball veterans for my IG regiment, some Necromunda ideas and sketches including variant needle gun and needle pistol..] I'm almost never without a paper notebook (usually one already half filled with ideas and nostalgia).
Edit: Also, you seem to have rolled up a boozey K-9 unit.

Hol was not spelled hole. I have been collecting games for 43 years. It was spelled HOL.
I like how you could die in the character generation in HOL. You need to add a skill to last days called "poke sharp things into soft things that scream and bleed".

Gameplay question: what models do you use for this system?
I always love generating stuff randomly as it allows your imagination to have to build something that you weren't planning on. That usually can lead to some of the best characters because you have to think how am I going to fit this weird idea into my character.
