This video is what all videos about helmets should be like. Thank you so much for being so informative, explaining things so well, and comparing with other helmets. No details spared. Max respect!

Fantastic review. Every helmet review should be like this.
I use a Nolan N44 evo for 7 years now, and love it, good brand.
Great job with the video. Thanks!😊

Good detailed review, and I like the fact that you compared it to other helmets. I’m thinking of getting the 50th anniversary version. 🇦🇺

I have one of these helmets. The N80-8 is a beautiful helmet. I did get one of the graphic versions though, I also did get it on sale. Now I just need to get one of the Bluetooth sets for it.

I just bought that same Nolan and am only wearing in the house to make sure it fits right, but I agree with much of what you said. The sun visor is amazing - much better than the one in my Shark. If it continues to break in and mold to my head, I will definitely keep. It seems to be a very good helmet, and I think it looks great.

Does it feel too heavy after a while? Also the intercom, is it good? With how many Bluetooth devices can it pair?

@@giannismoschovitis Haven’t used the intercom feature, but the helmet is not too heavy for me.

Be aware if moving from a n87 to a n80 the helmet outer is bigger. The ncom intercom system is very sleek and the n902 does sleep mode if the helmet isnt moved. The negative is if you want to charge it you cant remove the unit and leave your helmet secure you have to charge the helmet or buy a powerbank to charge it. the positive is you can buy replacement batteries if it ever needs one. At £260 the ncom is expensive and a better buy would be the fatter cardo 2x. with the big buttons the ncom is much easier to use than other intercoms

Managed to pick a slate grey version up for 180€ 😁Not a bad price for a helmet that has the new ECE 22-06 homologation. Unlike you, I do feel it clearly when the top vent is open, then again, I live in a much colder climate.

I agree about the prices, UK plain white £139.99 Mandrake version £249.99 so 110 pounds more for colour it's insane.

it's a bit weird that your head fits a Shoei and a shubert. I have a Shoei GT-air2, and fits me like a glove. Tried a shubert c5, and the shape of my head just didn'work. how was the fit ?

  • @robbieandbeckie
    @robbieandbeckie Год назад

How is the fit in the Nolan? Most cheap helmets are round oval, which absolutely do not fit my head shape. I like long oval but are a pain to put on. I usually buy the intermediate oval. I splurged and bought an Arai RamX last summer. Features are slim, but the fit, comfort and air flow are fantastic.
Owning several helmets over the years, I believe helmet shape is the most important, yet most overlooked feature by most riders. Haven't seen a salesperson yet that had a clue (or care) about helmet shape.
One thing I have learned, never buy any helmet, or any gear, without trying it on first.

I have no problem with paying more for graphics. I personally don't... I get the solid colors but I don't care if they charge more for gfx as long as they still offer the solid colors so I don't have to pay for graphics I don't care for.

@@CagerOnTwoWheels oh yes. I see. I agree. Unless it's some famous racers helmet design, then just charging a lot more for a little bit more. Graphics is kind of ridiculous

They spent money to get a graphic designer to create the graphics. Shouldn't they get paid for their service? Ps. This review is so contradictive. You say it's heaviest. It also has features the others don't have. =weight. It has safety features the others don't have. But is the least safe?

I like your videos, but this is too long, man. I think you could have cut it down to ten minutes if you had written out your specs onto paper and not kept bobbing around from this to that, spinning it out to half an hour. There are many other brands too...
