That's a fine looking outhouse. Suggest you use a toilet seat to determine the depth of the ledge. Look forward to more. Catching up on videos again. Be safe and stay well. Back in the mid-70s my stepdad and I built a 12'x24' A-frame cabin beside our home in Ontario to the point where it was closed in. We then took it apart in sections, loaded/overloaded a twin axle trailer with it, drove it out to south-eastern Quebec and re-assembled the cabin on their sugar bush property. Did not get over 40-45 mph for the whole trip and took back roads and secondary highways, so long as it was paved, to avoid the local constabularies. That's a 440 mile trip if you use major highways....which we did not. All I know is we left at 4:00 AM on a Sunday and arrived at our location at about noon on Monday. It as a very long and stressful trip. But everything made it fine and my stepdad and I had the cabin reconstructed in about 3-4 days.
Good stuff !!! Thank you for sharing your journey !!! You probably already thought of it , but I would fix some tie downs to keep it from blowing over . Here in the mountains of southwestern Virginia, in Wise County, we get some nice winds . When I worked on a coal surface mines we had porta potty for the men . One windy day someone was visiting it and the wind put it on its side while occupied !!! I guess he had a story to tell when he got home !!! Be careful and God bless you all !!!! Eddy
Fine look start for that pleasant visit outdoors, How's the wild beast out on the homestead, be an experience to find one after setting down to enjoy a good run
In the 50's Knott's Berry Farm wasn't an amusement park. They had simple old west displays, gold panning, stage coach rides and of course a restaurant where you could get berry pies. They had 2 display out houses - one single and one double "for company". Any ideas" LOL! Actually looking pretty good!
Angle braces on doors should go from the hinge and angle up, your top brace is correct. The weight of the door sagging is transferred to the hinge side which can resist the force. In your case both braces should be angled the same way and be parallel. The bottom brace only adds to the weight that the top brace has to resist.
I'm a 65 year old male and can remember using one of those as a young man. Ours had his and hers seats. Not much fun at 2 in the morning on a cold snowy night with the stomach flu. But we didn't waste time reading or scrolling on cell phones. Kinda like Walmart, get your S#@$ and get out. Looks like it should get the job done, lol
Happy New Year, I'm a day late but that's nothing new. I hope you and your family had as nice a Christmas and New Year as our family did. Here's wishing you a happy and prosperous New Year. I'm really looking forward to the videos from your new property. You're doing a fine job on the outhouse, it will be nice to have a comfy "facility."
tell him he's wrong when he say's you don't have to push on the drill ms heavy shevy. tell him if you don't push the bit will want to strip out the inside without maintaining pressure to the screw. ask him why he push's into the screw wilst screwing in screws.
Don’t forget to cut the moon in the door! Happy New Year to the Shevy’s and all the loyal watchers!
How fitting is that. This is video number two and your building a outhouse .
It’s poetic almost.
Save the wood, build your out house out of the old milk truck. Thanks for the great videos.

THAT'S FUNNY! Unless, of course, you were the person occupying the outhouse ...
I’ve thought of it. Haven’t done it yet. I hope it hasn’t tipped over.
That's genius with that strap like that
If the metal siding is corrugated, do half way up with that then use wood for the top. Happy New Year
Great job. Happy New Years 👍👍

It’s an outhouse, so you don’t have to be pretty. Just makes sure it’s sturdy and has a half moon cut into door. And don’t forget a vent pipe.
Come on they're all bossy! Lol
mrs h is brutally honest lol
might want to add air conditioning to the hilton out house by the time its finished it will be 5 star rated lol
Could do it.
