- Pete Waterman, OBE is invited by Tim Shoveller - CEO, Freightliner and Chairman RBF to name a class 90 locomotive at Crewe station.
What Pete doesn’t know is that we’re all there for him and the loco is being name after in his name.
Watch as invited guests witness Pete unveil the name plate.
Started as a fireman became a music mogul now honoured with a loco named after him. Next its time to let him drive it. In a safe environment of course. Congratulations Pete .

I am SO happy for Pete - a wonderful gentleman and fellow modeller, who I once had the opportunity to chat to at the Warley model railway show. The 'Hit Man' finally got hit himself and his face was an absolute picture. Very many congratulations, Pete.
Well deserved in my opinion. Pete is an amazing guy and he deserves his name to be presented on a locomotive. So thank you for doing this for him Tim Shoveller. You have earned my respect as well.
