i wasn't interested in woodworking or anything related to it but this channel's narrative and the way you explain things plus the calm music while cutting pieces of wood its just so satisfying , i love this channel
Thanks for this video! I'm a youth minister at a mobile church. I've been dreaming up what our conference table in our offices will look like once we build a building. This is very close to what I've been thinking, but yours hasa few additions I'll probably utilize. Namely magnets. But my vision had OSB for the strip down the middle. Love it!
Very cool Matt. I say keep using whatever you see (like this video) to inform your decisions and then you'll end up with something you like. Even if it's a combination of several other pieces.
I love the little intricacies in your videos.. the hints of comedy, drama and exceptional use of camera techniques.. make them truly unique and pleasing on the eye.. thank u chris for inspiring and making wood working my hobby!
Sometimes in woodworking there are mistakes and unhappy accidents, especially those that end at the ER. Not sure if Bob ever brushed off his finger tip!
Really good job showing alternate methods and explaining it. You are killing it, man. I do think you have too many shoes... but that's coming from a guy who has two pairs... or four shoes... however you want to look at it. Love you, man.
Thank you for showing methods without the CNC. I feel like lots of maker youtubers just casually use the CNC without consideration for how inaccessible they are for amateurs. Even if they are more widely available these days, it's a luxury most wouldn't have the money or space to have.
Thanks! Yeah, I think it's one of those tools where it's either the last thing you get (because you have everything else already) - or it's the first thing you get, because you're going to go down a different road, avoiding traditional tools. I think that is slowly changing and they will become even more commonplace. But I still like the idea of showing both methods. Especially to avoid the "let's see if you can do it without a CNC" comment :)
Nice table! As a guy that works in solid wood only, I love what you do with plywood, it is just that cool. Also lol at "presanding" I can hear the "predrilled hole" pedants' heads exploding.
Is there a rift in the community I'm unaware of? haha. I definitely did some pre-drilling during my "Mock assembly" here. Thankfully I didn't use that exact terminology.
@@Foureyes.Furniture I dunno if there is a rift or not, just that I generally hate plywood so it's nice to see someone doing something interesting with it that isn't just same old Danish modern thing. I mean don't get me wrong I know you are inspired by Danish modern, I mean hell who isn't right? but you're trying to take it a bit further and I like that.

Gerat editing and as Always a very nice piece of funiture. I Love the Idea of the cableholders. Plus I Love your Videos man Always the Highlight of the week keep going.
Normally I get lots of ending shots. The problem with this one was it was really hard to photograph after it was done and in its place, so I basically had to rely on close ups. I wish that I would have gotten some shots while it was still in the shop
Chris Salomone keep up the good work maybe next time, by the way I love how you incorporated the magnets to the design you should patent that before some big names still the Idea .
I tried to create large templates (multiple pages) for a bed project and found that even with a good program to generate the patterns there was still a problem with aligning everything perfectly. I found that directly creating a pattern on the pattern material was much better, especially for larger pieces. If I had a large CNC machine I would have done it that way.
Nice work as always, you should give props & links to Open Desk in the description, since you based your design on open source plans provided by them... just saying.
Really enjoy the narrative style and the woodworking is interesting as well. I got a laugh out of the ending. Informative and enjoyable, thanks for another great video.

When cutting with the band saw, you need to adjust the cutting height. When the band saw is made shorter, the cut becomes more accurate. The band did not give dan the opportunity to swing that far
