I would avoid measurement when there is fusion as it is likely to be misleading to inform on diastolic function. If there is a beat where there is separation of the E And A then this can potentially be measured. Other parameters apart from E and A waves may be useful ( PV analysis for example, IAS kinetics, LAVI, TRVmax). When there is E/A fusion, do you measure the A from the baseline or from where the E fuses with the A?
