Yeah that would be crazy but isn't going to happen. It's just not the way things go down in Hollywood and super hero writing. That would mean that the good guy is the bad guy and that Marc would have to fight himself in order to defeat evil. It would take away all the leg work the writers put in to make the audience like the hero... it would also take away the chance for moonknight to have an arch nemesis in Bushman to battle at some point in his MCU run. It's a fun cool idea but it's just not gonna happen. It would also make the story of how he gets his powers too convoluted. The Jake personality would have had to shoot the Marc personality after the the Jake personality got to greedy and tried to make off with the treasure, which would mean he would have had to shoot himself and wouldn't have been able to make off with the treasure. It's just all too messy that way. Better to give him an actual bad guy to fight in the end

Or where any hero shoots and kills themselves in order to get away with a treasure. Remember this is a superHERO origin story and we are supposed to in the end believe that the guy(s) behind the mask is good deep down e.g. (slapping the kid and not punching his lights out). We can disagree with the tactics used to do good sometimes by heros, but in the end they have to be doing good to be called a hero and not a villain. The transition between marc and Steven is always easy and smooth like in between fights and talks..but whenever there's a blackout I think it's Jake taking control.. Also u see blackout in ep3 when one of the knifeman is dead and neither marc nor steven take its responsibility therefore it was Jake
I would agree but in ep 3 when Marc is fighting the guys on the rooftop and sees Steven with a V in the reflection of the knife, he blacks out and wakes up in a taxi 🧐
We definitely got Jake Lockley in that other coffin. I’m not going to be surprised when it’s opened next episode. I think Marc will let him free in order to get him and Steven out of that place.
Love the part when the mummy pulls Layla into the darkness, she runs out and it pulls her back in again. That was pretty clever and unexpected, props Diab and Isaac for bringing us something special.
The best episode so far of the serie. Jake Lockeley must be in the second coffin and I am sure we will see him in the next episode. What a rollercoaster of emotions and impressions. The Indy inspired part seems coming directly from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom with his creepiness.
I love how there’s so many opinions of fans with moonknight, moonknight is already one of my favorite mcu projects and characters, but this episode was probably my least favorite

This episode was "weak" in terms of action, but it was "strong" in moving the plot forward. There were so many things I caught that I remember from the comics and my days playing Assassin's Creed.
Ngl, the Fertility Goddess’s (I’m not gonna try and spell her name) ears flickering when she said “hi” was super cute. Also I’m really digging how the show hints at Jake. Gives him a very antagonistic air, almost like he’s the personality that shouldn’t be set free.
I love how mark and steven hug each other, this episode is just mind blowing MOONKNIGHT is officially the best marvel tv show of all time if not the best tv series of all time this episode just slapped people in the face that says peacemaker is better
@@adityasabnani4941 the boys is no where near as good as moonknight nor peace maker, peacemaker was just enjoyable and a comedy show, loki was interesting as fuck and kept the world theorize everysingle detail they can find, Loki was my favorite tv show but moon knight ep 4 just convinced me this is the best show out of the 4 you just mentioned, from the shows plot to oscar isaac's performance I am convinced that moonknight is the best mcu show and the best mcu debut. I watched daredevil all the way up to season 2 and there is so much parts that got me bored, honestly I have no idea why people kept saying daredevil is the best show ever existed and when I watched it I got bored several times on the show and each episode was 1 hour long I didn't even got to finish season 3 due to bordome, I know you have to watch jessica jones before season 2 but that show is terrible too

4:50 there are many more than nine gods in Egyptian myth, Steven was talking about the Ennead, which are just the nine most powerful and influential of the Egyptian gods. (like the Egyptian version of the Twelve Olympians of Greek Myth.) which most definitely does not include Khonshu or Ammit. the gods comprising the Ennead are: Ra (The First god), Shu (god of Air), Tefnut (goddess of Moisture and Rain), Geb (god of the Earth), Nut (goddess of the Sky) Osiris (god of the Dead and Afterlife), Isis (goddess who resurrected Osiris), Set (god of Deserts, Storms, and Violence. basically Egyptian Satan), Nephthys (goddess of Mummies), Horus (god of Kingship and the Sky) Egyptian mythology can be complex and inconsistent at times. there are plenty of other important gods who dont fall in this list of nine, such as Taweret, Anubis, Bast, Sobek, Thoth, and obviously Khonshu and Ammit, plus probably a few more i cant remember off the top of my head.

I don’t know if anyone else thought of this, but the way the “mental asylum” was swaying reminded me of the way objects move on a ship on turbulent seas. And there was that trailer that showed a boat swaying on the sands. Is it possible THAT boat is the embodiment of where Marc/Steven’s “mental hospital” is? The journey through the reeds?
The Bingo card does have letters, though. B, I, N, G and O at the top. The letters refer to the column where you're supposed to find the number. 22 isn't on the B column or anywhere on the card for that matter. And T-16 certainly won't be found on any Bingo card. The mind boggles.

your right that its from the books but in mythology the gods go to the durat which is a spiritual plane that can be seen as different things for different people, maybe mark see's it as a mental hospital.

I’m calling it right now. “Osiris’s” avatar is actually Amit and she is trying to release Osiris whose is trapped in what looks like Amit’s Ushapti. Alexander the Great being her avatar means she has a preference to powerful men. Alexander was the voice of Amit, and so far “Osiris’s” avatar has spoken for all the non entrapped gods almost.. this fixes why “Amit” is judging people when she’s just the devourer. It’s actually Amit trying to release Osiris so he may judge everyone and she can then devour them all

The craftsmanship of this series has been flawless and one of the most unique among the DisneyPlus series so far. I agree 100K % but it seems there is Alot of story to still tell. Kinda like in Loki. SO I prey there is a season 2. I think Moon Night 🌙 has been 1 of the/ if not the best the MARVEL shows have put out. I'm just MAD we cannot binge watch it. Or all 6 epicodes when it comes out. Like a movie. This episode was definitely one of the best episodes in the history of MCU shows......Loved Oscar Isaac but more importantly I loved May Calamawy......and the ending of the episode was just fuckin awesome....Can't wait to see Jake and what goes inside the fake asylum.....
19:02- also in episode 3, when they’re in the car after the big fight scene & Layla confronts Mark about what Harrow was talking about in regards to what he knows about her father.. if you listen closely to Oscar Issacs voice and watch his mannerisms, I don’t think that was Mark or Steven that she was talking to. I think that was the 3rd alter (Jake).
from what i understand about moon knight is that the three personas that are shown so far is "Steven", "Marc", and ''Jake'' are shown to be different aspects of moon knight. Steven is there as a base persona making sure that everyone is in line and that he does his best to negotiate or delegate the current situation when his other personas are unavailable with mixed results mainly because he doesnt want to be involved in much conflict. Next up is ''Marc'', who knows how to both fight, and protect others from harm although he is sometimes hampered or be given an assist by ''Steven'' depending on the situation. Although they are both left in the dark when ''Jake'' takes control, a persona that is both unknown yet all to familiar to them as he has yet to show his true self while at the same time letting a few slithers of himself come into play which scares both of them cause they don't know if he exists and yet they would rather not know who is to be unleased from the sarcophagus. If that is the case we will just have to wait and see what the remaining episodes will show us. I like how the series is going so far

When I watched the episode, I got so sad because I thought all of Moon Knight, all 3 1/2 episodes, weren’t real. It was all just inside Marc’s head. And I was verbally saying WTF to myself the entirety of the end of the episode. It was crazy
Everything is real, what is going on actually here is Marc Steve and Jack are all Dids, they are all suffering from dissociative identity disorder.....where in it feels like multiple personalities live within ur mind or body....and this whole asylum thing is the representation of that mental space.....
That would be too lame if none of this is real. I think the ending is some kind of realm like that when Black Panther visits killmonger and his ancestors.
In Egyptian mythology Tarowet runs what could be called and insane asylum for the dead and the fact that Marc and Steven are now separate could mean that they where never the same person and when they die there not in the same body any more. Also that would mean that either Layla died or is a figment in Marc imaination.

Bro that whole mummy scene was terrifying and masterfuly crafted. It had elements of a typical horror monster, but it wasn’t quite the same. And the disembowelment table was soo cool and creepy, seeing the organ jars. Also, does the bloodily knife at the camp (by the flares) mean that the creature camp to the camp sometime and took some people. If so that’s a super creepy but cool thought. I’m totally stealing this concept for my next dnd game
best episode by far, I was so confused I thought it was his past and that's where him and layla met but then there's harrow and I instantly realized it wasn't his past
Eh...idk about that. The show has shown that when Jake takes over both Marc and Steven have no recollection of his actions, essentially a gap in memory so to speak, but they both remember being shot, meaning Marc was still most likely in control of the body when he was shot. Also it's relatively easy for Marc to kill those deserving of death, such as Author's men, so him killing them doesn't really deviate from his standard personality as well.
I couldn’t sleep so re-watched Moon Knight episodes 1 & 2 again… Some more discoveries & thoughts. 1. Ep 1 - the stay awake app says "bored with puzzles? - then read and inject yourself into the story..." Then "... you need about 5 hours to become your Natural Self" 5 hours? Natural Self? 2. Marc's storage unit - it has a U on it - is that The Underworld? Before for getting to The Field of Reeds? 3. Also when Steven found the right location for the storage unit he told the employee - "this is the 5th location I have been to". The employee says, “yeah I remember you”… Facts - The #5 in Egyptian beliefs symbolizes a Universe where the Gods live eternally bc the pentagonal 5 pointed star aptly symbolizes “that kings after death become Stars” Constellation Map - 5 stars 4. My thoughts now - Is Jake/Scotty trying to take over/high jack the body from Marc & Steven - He doesn’t talk to them but I think he has been present many times - episode 1 killing to get the scarab all the action scenes. In the bathroom circle mirror dark reflection - shaking his head NO. When Steven says “that’s not me”. I don’t think Marc would leave like that and look at the camera with such anger. 5. How and why was Harrow able to break away from Konshu? Does Harrow have same mental illness as Marc/Steven/Jake “Scotty”? Did Harrow submit to his darkest violent Alter? Sorry so long there is just so much! I love love this show!!!
I have difficulty understanding accents and I always watch tv when my mom is asleep, so I’ve been watching with subtitles on. At one point, after Crowley calls B-22, he also calls T-something, which stood out to me because it was the only letter that isn’t in the word BINGO. Any thoughts on this? Edit: He calls G-15, then he says, “No? Well 16. Sweet 16. 16-T. 16-T or T-16.” Really weird and specific?
I really enjoyed this episode, I loved seeing Steven get so excited finding all this ancient lost stuff and couldn't help but think Mark would just walk past it all and not even care, plus the whole mummy bit was surprisingly dark for marvels standards.

Regarding the commentary on the Ennead at 5:04, the Ennead are sort of the Egyptian equivalent of the Greek Olympians. Egypt had many gods, some being born others being made, very akin to how the Greek pantheon was organized, and their cultures actually shared and merged certain gods after/during the reign of Alexander the Great, such as Heka and Heqet, who are believed to be versions of Hecate, or Hermes being Thoth, etc. While the Olympians ruled over all lesser Hellenic gods, the Ennead are a sect who, depending in the iteration, as in real life there may be more than one Ennead, establish and uphold the ruling power of the divine in Egypt. The Moon Knight version of the Ennead features Tefnut (Goddess of Rain and Sky, First Daughter of Ra-Atum), Khonsu (God of the Moon and Rebirth), Osiris (God of the Dead, King of the Afterlife), Isis (Goddess of Magick and Motherhood, Mother of Horus and Bastet), Horus (God of the Sky and Stars, Heir to Osiris), and Hathor (Goddess of the Skies, Eye of Ra, Consort of the King). Chances are that during the Ennead’s retreat from Earth, many of their fellow gods refused to obey their laws and restrict their presence to the Overvoid (Heliopolis), instead intervening or meddling on Earth. Such action probably resulted in them being imprisoned in stone and kept inside the Great Pyramid, forced to be bound in that shape, likely at least partially conscious of the world around them, given Ammit’s connection to Harrow. If Taweret is one of those imprisoned, it could be that she’s merely bound to the Duat or the Overvoid, wherever Marc/Steven/Jake are currently, maybe even acting as the steward of the place.
I had a couple thoughts. 1. I don't think Marc is going through the Field of Reeds. That is a form of afterlife for those who pass the trial of the feather of truth. I think Marc isn't dead yet, but Tawaret has shown herself to be a guide to him in this purgatory he's stuck in. 2. The reason I think Marc and Steven are stuck in purgatory because of Jake and his unseen suit persona. Marc and Steven have their suit alters in Moon Knight and Mr Knight, and we're yet to see Jake and his suit alter. I think Harrow shot him twice for the two alters he knows of, but he doesn't know about Jake. Three human alters and their three suit alters also fills out the six points of the Eye of Horus, where each 'sense' is an alter, either a human or an avatar of Khon-shu. 3. Marc is the primary alter, which is why he is the one who 'wakes up' in the asylum, while Steven and Jake are locked inside sarcophagi. Without Marc, the other two can't exist.
The Scarlet Scarab's (Marvel) name is Abdul Faoul, and Layla's name in the series is Layla El-Faouly so, I think Marvel has future plans for her... 👀👀👀

This episode was "weak" in terms of action, but it was "strong" in moving the plot forward. There were so many things I caught that I remember from the comics and my days playing Assassin's Creed.
Ngl, the Fertility Goddess’s (I’m not gonna try and spell her name) ears flickering when she said “hi” was super cute.
Also I’m really digging how the show hints at Jake. Gives him a very antagonistic air, almost like he’s the personality that shouldn’t be set free.
Jake is kinda aggressive at times in the comics so there’s definitely a good reason why he shouldn’t be let out

I loved the scene but hated it at the same time. The episode was so serious and heavy, I think that scene spoiled it.
The Bingo card does have letters, though. B, I, N, G and O at the top. The letters refer to the column where you're supposed to find the number. 22 isn't on the B column or anywhere on the card for that matter. And T-16 certainly won't be found on any Bingo card. The mind boggles.

I’m calling it right now. “Osiris’s” avatar is actually Amit and she is trying to release Osiris whose is trapped in what looks like Amit’s Ushapti. Alexander the Great being her avatar means she has a preference to powerful men. Alexander was the voice of Amit, and so far “Osiris’s” avatar has spoken for all the non entrapped gods almost.. this fixes why “Amit” is judging people when she’s just the devourer. It’s actually Amit trying to release Osiris so he may judge everyone and she can then devour them all

Just when I thought this series couldn’t get better it did
from what i understand about moon knight is that the three personas that are shown so far is "Steven", "Marc", and ''Jake'' are shown to be different aspects of moon knight. Steven is there as a base persona making sure that everyone is in line and that he does his best to negotiate or delegate the current situation when his other personas are unavailable with mixed results mainly because he doesnt want to be involved in much conflict. Next up is ''Marc'', who knows how to both fight, and protect others from harm although he is sometimes hampered or be given an assist by ''Steven'' depending on the situation. Although they are both left in the dark when ''Jake'' takes control, a persona that is both unknown yet all to familiar to them as he has yet to show his true self while at the same time letting a few slithers of himself come into play which scares both of them cause they don't know if he exists and yet they would rather not know who is to be unleased from the sarcophagus. If that is the case we will just have to wait and see what the remaining episodes will show us. I like how the series is going so far

In Egyptian mythology Tarowet runs what could be called and insane asylum for the dead and the fact that Marc and Steven are now separate could mean that they where never the same person and when they die there not in the same body any more. Also that would mean that either Layla died or is a figment in Marc imaination.

Bro that whole mummy scene was terrifying and masterfuly crafted. It had elements of a typical horror monster, but it wasn’t quite the same. And the disembowelment table was soo cool and creepy, seeing the organ jars. Also, does the bloodily knife at the camp (by the flares) mean that the creature camp to the camp sometime and took some people. If so that’s a super creepy but cool thought. I’m totally stealing this concept for my next dnd game

Eh...idk about that. The show has shown that when Jake takes over both Marc and Steven have no recollection of his actions, essentially a gap in memory so to speak, but they both remember being shot, meaning Marc was still most likely in control of the body when he was shot. Also it's relatively easy for Marc to kill those deserving of death, such as Author's men, so him killing them doesn't really deviate from his standard personality as well.

I really enjoyed this episode, I loved seeing Steven get so excited finding all this ancient lost stuff and couldn't help but think Mark would just walk past it all and not even care, plus the whole mummy bit was surprisingly dark for marvels standards.

Regarding the commentary on the Ennead at 5:04, the Ennead are sort of the Egyptian equivalent of the Greek Olympians. Egypt had many gods, some being born others being made, very akin to how the Greek pantheon was organized, and their cultures actually shared and merged certain gods after/during the reign of Alexander the Great, such as Heka and Heqet, who are believed to be versions of Hecate, or Hermes being Thoth, etc. While the Olympians ruled over all lesser Hellenic gods, the Ennead are a sect who, depending in the iteration, as in real life there may be more than one Ennead, establish and uphold the ruling power of the divine in Egypt. The Moon Knight version of the Ennead features Tefnut (Goddess of Rain and Sky, First Daughter of Ra-Atum), Khonsu (God of the Moon and Rebirth), Osiris (God of the Dead, King of the Afterlife), Isis (Goddess of Magick and Motherhood, Mother of Horus and Bastet), Horus (God of the Sky and Stars, Heir to Osiris), and Hathor (Goddess of the Skies, Eye of Ra, Consort of the King). Chances are that during the Ennead’s retreat from Earth, many of their fellow gods refused to obey their laws and restrict their presence to the Overvoid (Heliopolis), instead intervening or meddling on Earth. Such action probably resulted in them being imprisoned in stone and kept inside the Great Pyramid, forced to be bound in that shape, likely at least partially conscious of the world around them, given Ammit’s connection to Harrow. If Taweret is one of those imprisoned, it could be that she’s merely bound to the Duat or the Overvoid, wherever Marc/Steven/Jake are currently, maybe even acting as the steward of the place.
Best episode yet bro once again perfect timing
I had a couple thoughts.
1. I don't think Marc is going through the Field of Reeds. That is a form of afterlife for those who pass the trial of the feather of truth. I think Marc isn't dead yet, but Tawaret has shown herself to be a guide to him in this purgatory he's stuck in.
2. The reason I think Marc and Steven are stuck in purgatory because of Jake and his unseen suit persona. Marc and Steven have their suit alters in Moon Knight and Mr Knight, and we're yet to see Jake and his suit alter. I think Harrow shot him twice for the two alters he knows of, but he doesn't know about Jake. Three human alters and their three suit alters also fills out the six points of the Eye of Horus, where each 'sense' is an alter, either a human or an avatar of Khon-shu.
3. Marc is the primary alter, which is why he is the one who 'wakes up' in the asylum, while Steven and Jake are locked inside sarcophagi. Without Marc, the other two can't exist.
The Scarlet Scarab's (Marvel) name is Abdul Faoul, and Layla's name in the series is Layla El-Faouly so, I think Marvel has future plans for her... 👀👀👀
