Hey my dude, glad you're still enjoying. When you didn't post for a week, i was worried you were getting discouraged! I want to focus on a couple of overall things rather than getting into the nitty gritty details like before because I think that would be more helpful. To answer your question about your command centers. They keep floating because you are rallying them after telling them to land. Take that last game for example, you landed your 2nd base at your natural and while it was flying over there you intended to rally the scv's from both bases to the natural mineral line. However, since your CC was in the air, the right click was a move command rather than a set rally point. So you ended up rallying your main to the natural mineral line and floated your expansion over your natural mineral line. It's a simple fix you can either rally first then lift and move your CCs or you can hold shift and click the CC that's in the process of moving to land so it get deselected and then rally the remainder that you have selected. Generally, i would say always build your 2nd CC at your natural expansion and if you're going to build a bunker because of your scout, build it in front of that natural. 9 times out of 10 that will be enough. The edge cases are really a 6 pool zerg rush. I'm sure I'm oversimplifying that a little bit, but if you always plan to build your nat at your nat then you can learn how to defend it for those early pushes. Also on that map that's got that expansion with a half a mineral line. Don't expand there first. Speaking of expansions, always MULE at your most recent expansion. Start building that habit now. The older the expansion the fewer patches are going to exist and your MULEs will only accelerate that which means you'll have to move SCV's to another base quicker. You want your older base economy to be as hands off as possible and last as long as possible for a consistent mineral income. Finally, my thoughts about your composition. Bio is super fragile and difficult to play well. If you don't have a preference of bio vs mech, then I'd suggest a mech build because it's super A-Move and win. If you just want to be bio, then be bio, it's all about what is fun for you. I would suggest rather than making MMM + Tank, to do something like MMM + Hellbat or Thor. Because your bio is so weak, you need something that can soak a bit of damage and Hellbats with Blue Flame do that real well. The drawback there is that they don't shoot up so if the opponent has air units then you're gonna want Thors instead. Tanks are fine, but they do require you to watch your army a bit more so you know when to seige them which is where they're true power comes in. The tanks in your base are good to slow down attacks, but with your main army they can become a liability pretty quick. Cheers and GGs!
Aww yeah i had some technical issues so wasnt able to get anything uploaded but getting back into the swing of it, appreciate you for staying tuned in!! ahaha thats so funny, i had no idea i was doing that! This makes total sense, i think i'll try the rally first as it seems to be more efficient!? I appreciate this massively as it was really starting to bug me hahaha (not really)! Yeah i think i only build on the high ground because i don't see my opponents expansion but that isn't always necessary and like you say if i can learn to defend on the low ground then that again will make my build more efficient! Amazing i think the back base feels safer but you are right, its not got enough minerals early on!! Oh my days, that makes so much sense, i always thought to mine out the oldest base first to be able to move the scvs quicker but now that i think about it it doesn't really make sense! I will absolutely try and take this on board, a good habit to get into for sure! Thank you for this!! I will definitely try out hellbats and thors, tbh ive never fielded hellbats before so will be fun to mix it up! I LOOVE tanks but i get what you mean, having to always micro isnt ideal!! I really do appreciate these tips Scytale, everything makes total sense and im excited to give them a try in my games going forward! Might take a bit of getting used to but im sure I'll get there!! GGs Always!
You’ve got a lot of good foundation points, but with a game that taxes so many elements of multitasking it’s crucial to practice things like only making workers or timing attacks so you can benchmark yourself on your progress. Games are going to get harder before they get easier, but it’s a lot easier to recover from an attack when you have a plan and standard timings to anchor too. Learning concepts like checking for idle workers, ensuring workers are rallied to mineral lines, and balancing your production to your income will help stabilize your infrastructure. It’s great to have 25 rax with reactors when you have the income to support them, but every extra rax you build is 3 marines you could have built too. Keep up the level headedness because this game is extremely frustrating at times, it’s inevitable. It’s also extremely rewarding and challenging in fun ways. Also, you can counter muta’s in that first or second game with a couple of Thors in one base and marines zoning out mutas on the others. A couple of ravens could have helped with approaching those lurkers, but never run a bio mass into lurkers unless you want to donate them. A lesson you only need to learn a few times before you remember lol.
Yo Seff, thanks so much for taking the time to watch and leave a comment, its much appreciated! Aye you are spot on there, the multitasking whilst keeping the head up is quite a challenge for me but i think i can get better with time and practice! I also hear what you are saying in terms of production, its something that i have been trying to work on, build units first then production buildings!! The mutas really got me, the thors are a great idea with the marine supporting in the gaps where the thors are not! Great idea, I'll try this next time i see those pesky mutas floating about! I wont be forgetting that lurker lesson any time soon lol! Thanks again for the feedback and GGs always!
Hey, the game audio in this video seems to be much louder then in previous ones, could barely hear you. For some things you could improve: Don't build just bio wihtout or with just 1 or 2 medivecs, you need much more then that. Thats why 1-1-1 is a popular opener. Also I noticed in my own games vs Zerg that you can't just sit on your ass for 10 minutes or the Zerg eco will just escalate at it's amost impossible to catch up. You need to push them early and try to deny the 3rd / 4th base and just keep the preassure up.
Yo Dino, thanks for letting me know about he audio! I changed the settings in todays video so it wasnt as loud!! Yeah i think more medivacs, like you were saying, is the way forward! Need the heals on the bio to make a difference!! I will absolutely take this on board, i do find i let the zerg players do their own thing to the point where i cant defend what they have! Earlier attacks is the way! Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and to leave a comment, it is much appreciated! GGs always!
