I'll admit, I wasn't so sure about it in the beginning but with a few tweaks it's actually a fun little rig. Because of its size you do need to re-think your lines a bit, but that just makes it a little more challenging.
Great review. Just picked one up today. Great RC for fun secondary vehicle. Very impressed with articulation. I am guessing it is modelled after a 77’ If anyone knows for certain please share.
This is a wonderful and thorough overview. Do you have an opinion on the lack of foam in the tires? I recently ordered one of these (should be delivered Saturday, woohoo!) and also ordered the CR12 Tioga tires/wheels to add to the FJ45. The Tioga wheel/tires are 1.9 instead of 1.55. I was a little surprised to see that the tires did not have foams. Have you run your FJ45 much? Do you feel like foams are needed/desirable? Thanks in advance!
Sorry for the late response. With the weight of the vehicle being so light, I'm not sure the lack of foam in the tires affects it much. I think foam would probably help out, but I would suggest cutting it in a star pattern to help 'air it down' a bit.
I'm not sure if you will respond, but is it possible to get the same exact fj45 set in 2021? If so, please leave a link and I will check it out. Thank you in advance!
Awesome brother

Where can I find aluminum shocks for it. Love my Fj12
Nicely done sir, good lighting too. They look really nice. Any thoughts on an interior?
Where did you get the accesorios from?
The accessories are from Team Associated's Shapeways account. You can find that info here: www.shapeways.com/shops/associated-electrics
Thank you !!!

Yes - you can get it here: www.associatedelectrics.com/teamassociated/parts/details/41062-ASC41062-cr12_toyota_fj45_body_with_accessories_blue/
Does anybody know if there is a flat bed for this truck?
Not sure - since it's a smaller vehicle, body selections are a bit limited. You could go ahead and custom make one - that would be pretty cool!
I'm going to have to build one .its gong to be fun !!i just got one and i thoat there could be a flat bed in the marketing online.
@@secomerlos3220 Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
Also looking for new tires that would fit
Smaller tires might be difficult to find. If you drop a set of 1.55" wheels and tires, it actually works quite well.
