I went absolutely bonkers at the Memphis Comic Expo last year. Im definitely creating a budget for this year.

One of the least fun but most necessary steps for Con prep. That way you can keep having fun in the weeks after the Con ends

I know a lot of people bring a small sketch book to get things signed as well. Like, I don't have this thing I want, but I got this book. It does become fun to flip through it. ALSO, if you want to do a commission sketchbook, a sketchbook filled with commissions. The key to that, pay for big fish first. Pay a little extra and have them go full out on it. No artists wants to be the slacker, so they will all do a little better!

This is a good call. I'm not a big commission guy in general, so a con notebook isn't ever going to be something I'm looking to do but I like that idea of leading the sketchbook with an awesome piece. I saw Ben start a guy's sketchbook with a picture from the Necronomicon which came out really cool

You know I couldn't make a con video without mentioning the best Con tip I've ever heard

Does the portfolio folder fit into the backpack? I usually take a poster tube and found it to be working great if it's not a book you plan to protect. Wrt the schedule part, I'd add: get tickets to additional events in advance. NYCC has that for example where some side shows require separate tickets. It falls under 'schedule' I suppose.

Kind of, I can't fully close my backpack with the portfolio in it but it sits comfortably within the bag. If the backup was just a touch longer it would be great but it works fine as is. As far as the tickets, that's a good call. I've never been to a show that had a separate ticketed event I've wanted to attend so I don't have any experience on that but this definitely sounds like it would fit into scheduling

Did you give Zoe a buisness card? Would love to see an interview

No business card but she remembered me having her sign the sweet potato from last year. I adore talking to her, she's really funny and massively talented. Maybe if I ever cross the 1000 sub threshold I float the idea to her

You got something majorly wrong. You chose Mick Foley over Topanga

Naw man, I would never leave my girl Daniele Fishel waiting. Started with Legends of Wrestling, finished with Boy Meets World. The power of scheduling!
