The bars that make up the floor of the Thule Canyon are larger in diameter than those used on the Yakima roof baskets. We received a comment from one of our customers saying that they were able to fit the tire mount to their Canyon by using larger clamps, but we haven't tried it ourselves. www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/Yakima/Y07076.html
Might be better off using the Yakima ratcheting LockNLoad spare wheel holder. The grid pattern of the Thule basket should prevent the hooks from sliding under tension.
This carrier lets you mount a spare tire up and out of the way on your Yakima roof cargo basket. It will not work on the Rola basket due to the spacing of the basket rungs.
This is a better solution for keeping your spare tire secure on your roof basket than just setting it up there or using a tow strap. www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/Yakima/Y07076.html
...this is really amateurish..makes me laugh while watching him install it,not thought out, at least....really cheap, this will definitely move offroading, how do i put a cover on my tire? ..not for me...
I’ve got stock Jeep Cherokee latitude rims, I assume this will work with them?

Outstanding lad
Can't this work for basically any generic roof basket? I don't have a Yakima basket but I want to purchase one
Might have to drill holes but it should
The spacing between your rails may be different.
Can this mount to a Thule Canyon XT basket?
Some modifications may be needed. The rail spacing is different.

With drilling a few holes this would fit just about any roof basket
@@Julian-do7bv Before you drill holes in a $100 bracket, you can get a more universal tire mount for $25 on amazon.
Too much B.S. for something that should be quick and easy.
Would you want to do all that in freezing rain at night?
