MCPS 2nd Grade Concerts at Strathmore

After a two-year in-person hiatus, the National Philharmonic concerts for MCPS second graders are back! Held at The Music Center at Strathmore, the concerts engaged students with interactive elements and world-class performances. All MCPS second grade students were able to attend, free-of-charge. The concert series, which was held over four days, also included pre-concert lessons led by their music teachers at their schools prior to the the concerts to help ready students for the experience. The concerts reinforced that learning while encouraging students to explore a career in the arts. This 18+ year partnership with MCPS, Strathmore and other organizations showcase the community's commitment to music and the arts.
