As much as I love this, it still makes me feel gutted and sad that Albert, Mike, Trigger, Sid and Boycie have all passed away.
I'm watching everyone and everything that me and my parents loved turn into dust as time passes. Time is so cruel
@@Aaron-is8yt agree
I feel so honoured to have met him and gotten an autograph from him and Sue Holderness during the OFAH convention in Margate in 2019
I agree. Their passing was a huge loss to comedy. Fools is No1 of all time.
@@Aaron-is8yt that is the game of life my friend. All begins with dust and ends in dust... People just get caught up in the middle thinking it never ends
For me this is the best single episode of any tv show ever made. Masterpiece
Although this TV show episode is amazing, and I do agree that it is a masterpiece. However, I think the best episode of only fools and horses is the longest tonight and I think if that’s not okay with you then the best special is heroes and villains and by the way, I think the single best TV show episode ever made, was The Young Ones demolition.
"For me this is the best single episode of any tv show ever made. Masterpiece"....................I agree 100%
No. Dates was a masterpiece
All mates together having a day out, priceless.
Can’t be beaten. All my mates are late 20s, early 30s now & we try get together like this good few times throughout the year and act like we were teenagers just having fun like this. Cracks me up when del cheats in the race to the sea & back & when Uncle Albert crashes his toy boat 🤣
Lads days out on the lash are the best ever, sadly they get fewer and far between when ur older,. Cherish them, best days of your lives
The whole episode is 90 minutes of sitcom perfection. Not one line wasted.
RIP John Challis aka Boycie. You were part of my childhood and still are part of my adulthood to this day
The thing about OFAH is that it could have aired anytime and it would still have been a beloved classic. But the fact that it came out during a particularly tough time for ordinary working people in the 80’s, it must’ve been a massive escape from reality for these people, who allowed themselves to get caught up in these characters and the outrageous humour. People truly NEEDED this show. And I think that’s a huge reason out of a million why it’s Britain’s number 1 sitcom even today.
I just read an interview from David Jason and he said this scene is his favourite from the whole series. It was a few years into the series and it was just the whole cast and crew just having a laugh together. The scene where Boycie steals his hat hits him most. It’s a world that’s gone 😢😢😢
Very great memories
Very important for lads to have weekends like this for the old mental health, especially after a dreaded year or so of social distancing.
Very true
Just had a lads trip back in November there- you’re right, great for the mental well-being
You can't whack a good weekend with the boys
Hopefully you won't get too drunk and sick of jellied eels lol 😂 ;)
@@darkangelw8472 Never LOL 😂
David Jason recently said this was his favourite scene. I like Trigger's face as he looks out the window and sees the seaside. He looks genuinely happy to get away from the city for a weekend. Uncle Albert looks delighted! It's quite sweet.
That’s why I’m here, there will never ever be another show like only fools
The recent loss of John Challis makes this so much more poignant but the sadness is always overcome by the happiness these episodes inevitably bring x
So many no longer with us. These guys all provided some very fond childhood memories.
Best show ever
The greatest episode of the greatest show ever. Absolutely perfect song that when hearing on the radio evokes memories of this.
I’m 27 years old living in New Zealand. I have seen every OFAH episode at least 50 times and still, to this day nothing tops it. The best sitcom in history!
that panoramic shot of the bus is iconic. just a bunch of pals having fun nothing gets much better
The greatest of all time, at its absolute peak. Pure perfection. We’ll sadly never see the likes of it again.
This brings about so much joy and much sadness. Sadness for the Britain that once was, our lost youth and those who are no longer with us. Yet so much joy of friendships and good times.
Thanks for your much appreciated comment, nice one cheers 👍
I thought this was the greatest scene in OFAH. It shows the great friendship amongst the characters. Such a happy time.
John Sullivan was an absolute genius in writing such a brilliant comedy. I don't know of any other show that I can watch over and over and laugh the same as if I've watched it for the first time.
Thanks for your comment I appreciate it cheers ❤️👍
this show has so many moments of nostalgia, even that of which you've never experienced
Sad how the opening of the montage is Trigger, Albert and Boycie looking am happy to be in this trip, and how their respective actors are now in the beyond. They shall be remembered. I’m currently on my way to Margate as I write this, so I’ll have a beer in their memories. I’m only 23 but grew up watching this programme with my family 😊
Bring me back a 99 please mate
@@hopebgood is this an Inbetweeners quote from the Swanage Field Trip episode 😂
@@LiamMcKelvey My legs are a little tired.😉
This scene is remarkable.
It's the classic lads enjoying themselves and there's something so heartwarming about it.
We never see a scene like this again.
:( thats why i love this episode so much ...
Yeah very true nothing beats this show nothing this episode show lads weekend out and just getting way from the madness for few days
I'm only 21 but people think that our generation only watch Love Island and Big Brother, that's absolute bullshit I love this series and would do anything to see this when it came out first and live during that era.
Classics all the way
I’m 13 and love only fools and horses lmao
im 21 and agree what u say they think were snowflakes but where not
@Liam Watts there's loads of liam watts lol it would be easier to add me lol
@Liam Watts just the same or it could be cameron alexander or something like that dont have anything uploaded mainly on FB im the profile pic with the headphones
One of the best scenes in any show period. Absolutely love the jolly boys outing but this scene sticks out the most
This is like revisiting a video of your friends from days gone by.
God where did that 34 years go? Happier times 😢
0:25 haha, Del's definitely saying "Piss off, Rodney" 😂😂😂
Yeah easy to lip read 😊
that little kids face with Uncle Albert, priceless
Only just found out that it's (Mickey pearces) Patrick Murray son in real life
Beautiful people! I love you! You made my childhood magical!❤️
You are so kind
Little nod to the movie Midnight Cowboy with the soundtrack and when Rodders tries to hold Del Boy up on the bus seat!
I’m so glad I watched midnight cowboy in 2013. Watched it on the plane to Canada and loved it so much I watched it on the flight home. I’m not surprised a homage was paid three times in this scene … everybody’s talking, Del on the bus and his impressions of Ratso! Legendary episode, legendary film … it doesn’t get much better.
@@gsb5859 I am surprised that the infamous " I am walking here" wasn't there, but that was in Forrest Gump with coincidentally the same song and Gary Sinese saying it. I love this episode of Only Fools, you can see how much all the actors are enjoying themselves and of course the coach bit is hilarious.
Wow great spot 👏
This short clip still puts a smile on my face and sums up why I love OFAH.
Has its Christmas love this my grandad over for Christmas my Nan passed way in February show like this makes me happy I think of good times merry Christmas everyone
The best comedy ever that i grew up with as a teenager.
Love this sketch and i almost have tears in my eyes because it was where my mum took me for a day out in the school holidays,we got the coach from Victoria Station in London.
It makes me realise what a great childhood i had!.
my fave ever scene in only fools and horses always makes me smile.
Pretty sure Denzil was shouting obscenities on that Mary Rose. 😂😂
F word comes to mind LOL 😂
My favourite Del Boy episode. Saw this when I was 9 for the first time 20 years ago.
Awesome I'm so pleased to read your comment. Thanks 👍
@Ricksta66 thanks, man :)
"I lost my dolphin"
A show that will simply never ever be topped, every episode was brilliant and different in it's own unique way. This episode is one of my favourites
Definitely my favourite episode
My Mom and Dad had their honeymoon in Margate in the 1950s, happy days for our family xxx
Awesome comment thanks 👍 ❤️
Possibly the most beautiful combination of all time.
Love Only fools and horses. Great memories watching it with my family every Friday night while eating some chicken chow mein! 😆
Fantastic song and all ways puts a smile on my face whenever I hear this song and for fitting for this jolly boys outing to Margate top drawer
Same.
Brings back memories....
Good memories hey and thank you for your comment 👍 ❤️
Its absolutely magic this.
One of my earliest memories was watching this as a nipper with my dad
Sweet, memories are made of this. Thanks for your comment 👍
05/01/2022 Love it! from bkk thailand😂😍
Great song, best ever episode.
Thank you I'm glad you enjoyed and thanks for your comment 😊👍
The writer was really onto something with this. What OFAH did better than any other comedy was to tap into pieces of culture which we don’t always realise. So many people have been on a ‘charrabang’ outing or had a day out at the seaside doing things like this, and that’s what made it so relatable.
John Sullivan, the best 🤩👍
This has gotta be my favourite episode of OFAH. But then again I'm probably being biased having been born in Margate.
Thanks for your wonderful comments.... you get a thumps up n' a heart from me 👍❤️
It’s nice to see them all ‘enjoying’ themselves
The music is epic.
Grew up in ramsgate and margate ...my nan and grandad owned a hotel on margate sea front called the sandra guest house. I was born 5 years after this episode aired 💯 would of loved to of grown up then instead ......I live in westgate now next to margate with my own little family 🙌 and r.i.p to my nan and grandad ...great memories growing up in that guest house ❤
Best sitcom ever im 45 so used to watch every one class ive got the full collection tv is shit now bring me back to the 80s
One of my faveretes of all times. Remember the coatch to blackpool back in 1979
Awesome thanks 👍
David Jason said it's looking back at a world that's gone. So very true
Nicely said and thank you for your comment 👍 ❤️
Best show ever
Genius Rodney and Del Midnight Cowboys
It's the coach busters 🤣 fantastic episode, so many gags, my favourite 👏🏽
Always have this song in my head when I drive through Margate
Good Stuff...'Del Boys' Favourite Episode!!! - 👍
Such a classic scene
Thanks u most kindly for your comment. Much appreciated 👍
Was in school doing the ole gcses when this used to be on. Great memories
1:37 I think that's where Del Boy got revenge from later on with that cup of tea 🍵 Albert made.😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Pure brilliance
brilliant episode
What a show👌
legendary show
This was such a fun episode. Probably rates up there with 'Dates', 'To Hull and Back', and 'Time on our Hands'
Danger UXD is one of my favourites and the episode with Chandelier.
Your right. It's one of the best episodes
Beautiful scene
As a kid I remember that we had this episode recorded of the TV on video... Up in till the point that del threw the stone at the window, then the tape ran out!! 🥴 Still didn't stop us rewatching it again and again...
That's where this clip comes from, my old original BBC The Jolly Boys Outing V. H. S Video Cassette Tape, still got it and cherish it. Thanks for your comment. Regards Ricky Greenleaf-Payne :))
1:27 no wonder Uncle Albert sunk a lot of ships during his time.
😂😂😂bless him
My favourite episode
Best single episode of the best show ever made
It looks like they had fun making this
I'd love to move to Margate. I went there on the OFAH convention in 2019 and afterwards we had a swim, was lovely
The opening part of this clip when Del is getting on the coach, and they are off to Margate...Lower Northdown Ave, Margate, 200 yds from my house.
When Rodney arrived back alighted the coach and walked to his flat, this was on the opposite side of the road.
Awesome thanks for your comment 👍
OFAH at it's very best
I wish Margate was like that now especially Dreamland if it was I'd go down there in the summer every year
Love this episode. Should've made that toy boat Albert crashed sink 😂. Great song too.
I'm sure I read somewhere that the little boy, who was grinning when Albert crashes his boat, is the real son of Mickey Pearce.
Lads face at 1:32. He’ll be about 40 year old now.
Theo Grimreaper I once read on Wikipedia that he Mikey Pearce’s real life son
I wonder how many people actually get the Midnight Cowboy references?
Big OFAH fan here, remember studying film in 2005 and in the TV module when we did sitcoms, this episode was shown (I’d had already seen it countless times on video) and I was the only one in the class who got the reference)
@@spaceodds1985 Nice one mate

Hi Ricky. I know all of these area's so well. I have worked next to the flat that was supposed to be Rodney's although that clip was in Cliftonville but supposed to be Peckham. Only people who live here would know that I guess. Thanks for good memories. My Dad had filmed some shots on his Video camera that day where the coach parked in Cliftonvile Car Park and then they blew it up ha ha. I can't find that tape anymore but you could see David Jason and Nocholas Lyndhurst in thir trademark clothes sitting in the window of the coach. By the way Ricky, I'm well impressed with your view count, any ideas how I can get better views, maybe it's my titling. anyhow hope you and your family are well, and looking forward to lockdown lifting. have a great weekend. Regards. Geoff
You prune lockdown ended in 2021
What is that Del buys at 2:09?
Not sure but I bet it was Lovely Jubbly LOL 😂 ❤️ 👍

The scene with the Mary Rose ride! If you look at actor Paul Barber who played Denzel it looks like he wasn't enjoying it. You don't have to be a good lip reader to know. Is reply was for f**k sake. Get me off this torture device.
Of course John Challis R.I.P.
Albert crashing his boat & then dropping his donut crack me up in this scene after Del Boy tried to nick one off him 🤣
I used to love going on the Mary Rose, back then when I was a hell of a lot younger. I'd probably hate it now!!
Really sad and kinda eerie that most of the people here are dead now
Well, this was filmed back in 1989. By my count, the ones who are still alive are Del, Rodders, Boycie, Jevon, Mickey, Denzil, Alan (Cassandra's dad), and Harry the Coach driver.
@@incarnateTheGreat John Challis [ Boycie ] died early this year. Not sure about Harry the driver, but the rest you mentioned are still around.
Norman Wisdom, Del boy was impersonating Norman with the walk.Well it seems to me
@Morris david Mullings: Actually its Dustin Hoffman's character, Ratso Rizzo from the 1969 film, Midnight Cowboy with Jon Voight - the song "Everybody's Talking" by Nilsson also features in the film, I think at the end when Jon and Dustin are in a coach leaving NYC. Rodney adjusting Del in the Coach is also in the film.
@@jane1975 Got it in one jane. Such a clever sequence isn't it? I abso love it 😀
The first three actors on the coach are all dead
That's really sad 😔
