Thank you for the stroll through town. Been there myself. I have spent 30 years traveling Mexico. Haven't been there for 12 years. I was that crazy American hanging out the back window of the bus taking photos. I speak the language and am very talkative, so I buddied up to people easily. Miracles happened on my travels. The people were genuinely full of love and life. Mexico was certainly my oyster in my day. In April 1997, I was on a bus returning to the U.S. and watched comet Hale Bopp for hours in the night sky. I always encountered people who adopted me for a few days and were surprised when I returned a year later with gifts to share. I have several extended adopted families in that marvelous country. I have passed both VW factories while on bus rides. Unfortunately, both have been closed down for more than 10 years at least. I have 6 classic beetles in my yard, so seeing bugs in Mexico was definitely a thrill in my travels. I digress. I thank you for the video upload. Viva Mexico!

When traveling, I've found almost all people to be very generous and helpful; it can be quite inspiring.

Hey I am number 1 commenting! Hot sleepy Mexican town that did not seem that noisy to me with lots of beautiful artwork and sunshine. I just made a cheese quesadilla with a whole grain tortilla and cheddar topped with salsa. I watched your video while consuming this Mexican repast. Closest I will ever come to sleepy, hot, quiet, artsy fartsy Mexico. Watch your step. I fell on a stone stairwell two years ago and life has not been the same since. Permanent knee damage and disability was not expected, but it can happen if one is not alert and careful. Greetings from Aarhus Denmark.

Traveling in Latin America has made me a lot more tolerant of noise, I believe, although this morning the fireworks started at 5:45am and went on steadily until 7am. It's Saturday, so it's probably the beginning of a weekend festival. Knee and ankle injuries can happen in a heartbeat....it's crazy what a balancing act daily living is

That’s a good hat CG has with the neck covered. I am a beetle fan and like seeing the Mexican Beetles. But that’s beside the point seeing the sights and sounds of the city. Pace yourself in that heat. 🇲🇽

CG and I bought the same style hat for traveling, but she she opted for the additional neck cover. She loves it, but I think it's too hot. I just need a hat to do the job on the top of head that my hair quit doing a while ago :^)

I think the fireworks are set off early in the morning so people can joyously celebrate the fact that they have another entire day on earth in which they can make a lot of noise.

to set fireworks off that early...wouldn't that almost be a job in itself?

Hey guys! I love your videos and walk abouts. Can you please mention the name of the street you walked with all the murals on? Looking forward to returning to SM in winter 😊

You can find lots of pockets in the Guadalupe neighborhood with colorful murals. That particular street is calle Cancion India.

Love your videos. I’m always looking for new colonias as my wife and I are retiring in San Miguel de Allende. We’ve been there 6 times. I heard there is a colonia called, Allende which has flat streets. Can you make a video about that colonia? Thanks

I think your Jimmy Stewart looks more like Gregory Peck.
It's actually a Peruvian artist by the name of Felipe Cossío del Pomar who opened an art institute in San Miguel de Allende called Instituto Allende in an 18th century Renaissance palace.

ha!--that was actually pretty mild! ....I find it hard to capture the noise, because it almost always stops if I turn my camera on ...it's like trying to take a picture of a cat
