- Finally humanity starts to strike back against disease! And in surgery as well. Before you had to worry about excruciating pain and death by infection, now it was merely the colossal loss of blood that might kill you. Our understanding of infectious disease really ramps up during the 18th and 19th centuries. This video documents that progress. Useful for all students of history but especially if you’re 16 and studying the exam board Edexcel. This is the third episode in a series of five. Modern medicine and Western Front to come.

It's nice that you're still making these. I was watching a documentary on the French revolution the other night just because I enjoy history a lot, but I rarely find anything interesting enough to hold my attention 😢. These videos hold my short attention span 😅. So thanks lol.
