Interesting video as always. The view of the waterfall was beautiful, and having connections to Native history makes me all the more intrigued.

Thank you for featuring Dover Stone Church in Hometown History.
Justin Goodhart's photograph of the Dover Stone Church made the cover of the 2015 Dutchess County Tourism guide, and the New York-New Jersey Trails Conference adopted the preserve last year. Dutchess Land Conservancy funded most of the the land acquisitions and secured easements on the rest of the property. NYNJTC worked with DLC on the design, clearing and blazing of 4 miles of trails on the recent acquisition to the south.
Here's a link to a Hudsonia publication that describes features and habitat this cool ravine:

MetroNorth stops in Dover Plains and it's a straight shot west - walkable - to Rt 22 and the Right of Way to the Stone Church.
Please visit, and remember, Leave No Trace.
