The BSB have survived not only the first wave of boybands (them, nsync, 98 degrees) but also the second (one direction, big time rush, etc) and harmonies is one of the reasons why. Nobody, especially the younger groups, ever learned to harmonize like them.
Adayaline Seavey: it was hard for me to find a video of them where their voices were not heavily auto tuned, making it difficult to understand their actual singing abilities (not their fault, though, seems like they need to auto tune everything and everyone these days). I did find snippets of some tv and radio programs where they have short acappella moments and they sound ok. It looks like they are still exploring their vocal skills and learning how to intertwine their voices, which is understandable as they are so young, but they do show potential - plus they seem like nice kids!
@@guida-walker-channel Please watch their live they did in Dominion Theatre, London. If you still have any doubts, their performances there will cease it.
Ok so, the first DNA tracks available so far read like this: "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" (infectious, flawless pop of the highest order); "Chances" (instant classic, powerful yet ethereal, a track for the ages); "No Place" (warm, relatable, family oriented country-ish love poem) and now "Breathe" (highly melodic a cappella little gem, where voices rule supreme). In just 4 tracks they have shown more versatility, talent and maturity than most "artists" in their entire careers. I swear I am almost afraid of this album.
If you like what DNA is doing, you should check out the band The 1975. Their songs have such deep meaning, with each album having a completely different sound. Their 3rd, and newest album, has a majority of the songs being about Matty Healy's(lead singer) drug addiction, with most songs being about certain things that come with an addiction
I haven't in any way "researched" the meaning of / their choice of album title but what you just said makes me think... " DNA" ... it's what the guys are ... Masters of harmonies, a little rock, a little soul, a little country, a little " boy band" , a little "still young" and a little " grown up".... This album , to me, is showing ALL of what our beloved " Boys" are. Their true DNA
Kathryn Poole actually it means Digital and Analog. Something about the process of making an album thru digital and analog technology . AJ came up with the DNA. It also has a double meaning that every song in this album is made up of who the BSB are.
Now you know why they are just effortlessly known as the best boyband of all time. Such accappela music is so hard to find in the current times of synthetic and autotuned voices. Hands down the best harmony group to walk on earth!
This goes on to show that BSB are more than looks and dance. They have some of the best voices in the industry and that's why they're still around and will always be. Legends.
Shivani Negi: precisely. Because, at the end of the day, their inimitable voices and the way they flawlessly and effortlessly merge together are their number one asset. Many artists need to use all kinds of technical paraphernalia to make up for their complete and utter lack of musical talent, especially when performing live, but the Backstreet Boys have always been able to rely upon the sheer power of their voices alone.
This song truly showcases their harmonies. This is why BSB has lasted 25+ years, they are just timeless! Just beautiful! This may be their best album yet!
This album screams for us, the fans who have been strong beside them. The sound, so mature, so pure and at the same time modern. The mainstream music worldwide was waiting for this for too long. Us who went from having their pictures in our walls to their music in our phones today. Some with kids playing their songs already. Some having their songs as their wedding songs. 20+ and I'll never regret when I said that if I was going to follow a boyband, it's going to be only The Backstreet Boys...ALWAYS MY BOYS. I clearly made the right choice.
Found out about them in '96 (I was 9) by a new friend who had just moved to my city and was in my class. BSB fan ever since, and she is no longer one xD lol
Always love their acapella.. from the old "just to be close to you" to "All I have to give", "Time", to this song, this is one of the many reasons BSB is the greatest boyband in the history of the world. They don't need even one instrument to make a wonderful song. This album is gonna be so awesome!!!
'Who do you love' would also have been amazing, if it ever made it onto an album. They did snippets of it during interviews way back in their early years (visiting Europe a lot at the time)
You need to mention the acapella on the Intro of the Unbreakable album. Very beautiful. Also, check out the unreleased BSB's song, *"Movin' On"* entirely acapella that didn't get into the album.
Sometimes I don't get how they choose which song to be included in an album. Great songs like figure you out, evergreen, funny face, who do you love, didn't make it to an album, they're definitely catchy and great ones.
Ben Bram arranged and produced this. He’s the guy who arranges most of Pentatonix’s best music. Everything he does is beautiful and amazing so this collab is a match made in Heaven.
God ... this song is the best thing in the world! This shows how powerful their voices are, they do not need any background music to make such a wonderful song. Seriously: THIS IS THE BEST. Beautiful lyrics, beautiful melody ...💓💓💓
This kind of song is what defines the backstreet boys..acapella, great harmonies, and the vocals is just so perfect! Which you can rarely find nowadays with other boybands
Thumbs up for Backstreet Boys still killing it accapella after 25 years!!! The most unique and perfect harmonies, these voices are just meant to be together 🙌🏻❤️
I learned English listening to the Backstreey Boys! They are just the best! This new album is great. Can't wait to see them reach them the top of the charts once again
Such a severely underrated vocal group. Everyone remembers the classics but stuff like this is so incredibly impressive. No instrumentals, just pure vocal talent perfected over 30 years of them singing together #Classic
@@kimberlee302 maybe they meant it’s been a while since BSB recorded a new a cappella song? But yea either way, BSB is amazing at doing these. I love how they harmonize.

I don't know. That person probably lost the excitement of "I'll be the first to hear this song (at least among other fans I know) in 10, 9, 8...1 hour". But again that person should be so lucky for having the chance to listen to so many beautiful songs at once.❤️ Better later than never 😁
The lyrics of the chorus is powerful. When you're going through trauma and you are thinking and feeling the worst, the one thing you can still do and control is breathe. It's therapy, it's meditation. This song is perfect. Thank you so much for this gift to the world. I am wishing all the success the new album could bring to the Backstreet Boys. Yup. Super rare indeed. Last time I can remember when Howie started a BSB's song was "Trust Me", "Spanish Eyes" and "Anywhere for You" (Spanish Version - Donde Quieras Yo Ire).
What grabbed me first was, of course, the fantastic vocals. But now that I have actually listened to the words I have got to say that this is one amazing song. The lyrics are so powerful, the melody is incredible and the performance is out of this world. Legends.

Even though I haven't grown up listening to their songs because I'm just 15, I wish I was born in the late 80s so I could feel what it is like to wake up and hear a Backstreet Boys' song playing on the radio.

This is my current favourite out of the 4 singles they've released so far... The story's melancholic, and their acapella is soothing so I can put it on repeat while working/drawing/reading/whatever. Thanks for this, our Boys, and positively wriggling in anticipation for DNA to drop!
Do you guys remember that early times when they used to make performances a capella just to prove they were more than cute faces who know how to dance? BSB I loved this new song. The lyrics is great and made me take a deep breath! As always I'll keep the backstreet pride alive! ✌😘

Acappella is the real deal. I absolutely missed this BSB style so much. When they sang with Pentatonix during their Christmas special, I was like heyyy they should go back to their acappella roots and there is this song coming out. Absolutely in love. My favourite already.
I only made it 1:29 in before I had to pause it.. and cry my eyes out. That was just beautiful on a spiritual level. Truly the quintessential essence of the Backstreet Boys. I felt like I was back in 1993. I can't wait to hear what else they have prepared for us. KTBSPA.
The first thing I thought about was "Just to be Close to You"... And that was and it is my favorite song from the first album. And I know this Is my favorite song now❤️. Thank You Guys 😍🎶!!!
I love a capella music. It's the purest form of music, in my opinion, because of the true human factor in relying on your own voice to maintain pitch, especially in vocal harmony. This is what make the Backstreet Boys so special.
I heard them sing this live and loved it and I finally found the song! I didn't know it was an actual song! I'm in love with this one! Very under-rated
bunnyHanson I think there’s gonna be a mix of different styles on DNA. The first couple of singles from this album have a more modern sound to them while the latest one has a slightly R&B-tinged country vibe to it.
I really love this song the best so far from DNA. The 5 of them have a special sound/harmony. I also love that Howie & Kevin are getting more shine this time around. About time. Kudos!
This song proves that legends will be legends forever :-D
This is the Most Backstreet Boys song ever, what a beautiful tune. This must be how angels sing.

I only made it 1:29 in before I had to pause it.. and cry my eyes out. That was just beautiful on a spiritual level. Truly the quintessential essence of the Backstreet Boys. I felt like I was back in 1993. I can't wait to hear what else they have prepared for us. KTBSPA.
I made it through the AJ solo before I said to my gf at the time "this might be their best song ever"
Anyone else checking out this song after Aaron passed away. May he RIP.
The first thing I thought about was "Just to be Close to You"...
And that was and it is my favorite song from the first album.
And I know this Is my favorite song now❤️.
Thank You Guys 😍🎶!!!
you mean there secound album
@@sweetvampy5303 - No. Jess.Natt. is right. "Just to be Close to You" was BSB very first album, self titled, aka red album (1996).
@@iGaara19 i didnt know that at all i never heard of it till there third album so im sorry i was wrong my bad
From my childhood to my adulthood you have always been my number one boy band ! Love you BSB ! Forever !
Best boy band of all time!
Very under-rated
for some reason this reminds me of one of their 90s song
That's actually what they're going for.
gay kinda reminds me of “Undone” a little even though they are both different.. I could see a mashup of them together
gay Yes it does!! It really reminds me of them when they released their first 2 albums.
bunnyHanson I think there’s gonna be a mix of different styles on DNA. The first couple of singles from this album have a more modern sound to them while the latest one has a slightly R&B-tinged country vibe to it.
Sure it does...it reminds me of "just to be close" the acapella version
Nostalgia, reminds me of 'Back to your heart' song. ❤️
Puro talento......
Kevin's part is so beautiful. I love his southern voice. "Regrets dancing around head. Everything I never said.."
I feels dat
Was a backstreets girl in the 90's and I'm still going. This album is amazing from start to finish
I really love this song the best so far from DNA. The 5 of them have a special sound/harmony. I also love that Howie & Kevin are getting more shine this time around. About time. Kudos!
Totally agree! They shine bright 😊
I love this, they put out so many songs in the 2018_2019 years. I hope they never stop!❤❤❤
Brasil 🇧🇷 love you!!!
This sounded even better live, love them
I can tell that all of Howie's parts were meant to be Brian's, but Howie really stepped up!
