There's more to Usain Bolt's record than just the time. Tobi said Bolt has a rubbish start, well Bolt actually ran the first 60m in what would've been a world record in that distance too, in 6.31s. Bolt also hit a top speed of over 47kmph between the 60m and 80m marks. This was as close to a perfect race as he ever ran in big competition.
Isn't 60m like more than half the race? Also I think what Tobi meant was that for the first couple of seconds he was pretty much neck and neck with everyone else, so his "start" wasn't quite world record.

He also had to swim two more times that night with about 30 mins in between each event, so he probably wanted to save as much energy instead of celebrating (he already swam 10 times, including prelims, semifinals, and finals, in 4 events in a span of 6 days prior to this, so he kinda tired and hurt too) Plus, at that time, there's been so much hype and expectation for him to break that specific world record ever since he came 0.04 within it 2 years prior. Not only was he unwantingly burdened with the expectations for this world record, he was also burdened by the expectations of being the next Michael Phelps, Phelps' successor of being the face of USA swimming, pretty big shoes to fill.
This may have been dressel’s peak but it was also probably his nightmare having all that pressure and no wonder why he took 9 months off 22’ worlds was just an effect of all that pressure that he had on himself. But glad he’s in a much better place now.

Also, triple jump is such a fun sport. I love watching people's techniques. You don't even have to look at someone to know if it's a good jump, the sound spacing of the steps is all you need to hear.

So to add some context , the world record stood for 10 years before Caleb took it down and belonged to Michael Phelps during the super suit era. These suits were banned in 2010, a year after the record was set as they enhanced the swimmer (giving unfair advantage). Also, elite swimming is extremely competitive that wins / breaking world records are usually marginal. There are currently 2 women's world records still standing from the super suit days and the mens races have 6. Phelps's only world records still standing are relays as his final individual world record was broke last summer by Leon Marchand in the 400 IM, a record that stood for just short of 15 years.
The man has an even more impressive record; he's the first man in history to go below 10s in the 100m, 20s in the 200m and 44s in the 400m. Today is August 7th, 2024. Armand Duplantis has just broken de Olympic and World Record for the Pole Vault 2 days ago: 6.25 meters. He can clearly go way higher. I predict that, by 2032, he will be past the 6.50 meters mark and will be edging 7 meters. Absolute freak he is.

Bare in mind that anyone who came anywhere near his record was banned for doping at some point in their careers, Bolt also had a condition where the length of his legs were not equal, which you'd think would put him at a disadvantage.
