I don't know why but this gave me such Tales of Symphonia vibes regarding Hinnas sacrifice. Reminds me of Lloyd Urving to Collette Brunel on their quest to world regeneration.

Never got to play symphonia but did play berseria and thought it was amazing. Did not think that'd be the goal of Lloyd considering what velvet wanted was so much darker.

All characters will have the same levels regardless of whether they're active or not. It's their jobs thay are different. Palamena is the hot mage, Val is either big sword or sword and shield, Careena will be a fast dps with support buffs, Morley uses a mix of debuff support and quick combos. You can use items, but if yousre running low, Julei's healing abilities ought to help. As for Trials of Mana, you pick 3 characters and get locked into your choice for the game. But the remake has a New Game plus feature that allows you to pass items that aren't equipment as well as shareable ability's you acquired by talking to NPCs over to the next save file. Plus, with three villains and their armies, you get to face one head on depending on your lead party member. Duran and Angela get a big dragon, Hawkeye and Reisz get an Archfiend Lord, and Kevin and Charlotte get a Lich.

@@RealTrueKingsDen If memory serves, the Mana games typically have one healing spell and one spell for getting rid of negative status effects and one spell that purges all buffs and debuffs. Spells in most mana games either scale with level or grow stronger through repeated use, essentially giving spells their own levels like in FF2 or the SaGa series. This varies from game to game, of course. For advice on Trials of Mana, Duran sucks as a healer until he becomes a Paladin, so his dark classes are better. Angela is a glass mage, but her damage is amazing. Depending on her newer classes, she can either screen nuke, or get super spells that include negative statuses. Also, she got shafted in that all her spells are spread across the ability board. Examples, her fire spells are in the attack stat and her earth spells in the defense stat. Hawkeye depending on how you build him, can doing anything except buff or heal and has extra hits in his combos. But most of the time, his ninja classes are easier to work with. He also gets abilities that increase item drop rates, which is very helpful, especially since enemies can drop seeds that grow awesome gear and class changing items needed for the final class. And Reisz can either buff or debuff with a summon spell thrown in, but her buffs are more useful, especially when paired with Hawkeye's debuffing ninjutsu. Kevin is a more broken Hawkeye with almost no spells, especially on his dark path, but plenty of HP and power, plus the ability to double his attack at night as a werewolf. He can be a better healer than Duran. He pairs well with buffers like Charlotte in her light path, Duran in his dark path, or Reisz in her light path. Speaking of Charlotte, she is best healer, with access to the healing spells before the class change and can multitarget them in either the light or dark path, with a focus on either elemental buffs, shields, and/or zombie killing spells, or spells that conjure evil type enemies and unique debuffing spells.

IDK that depends on if you can master all 8 job classes in game on all 5 to 6 party members BY LV 99.

Val - OG character, I feel like I have to use him but I usually always do anyways
Careena - She looks cool and I feel like her move set is going to be great.
Palamena - She a shawty... Haha nah I feel like she reminds me of the style of character of Angela and has some overlap with story and she was very powerful in that game.

My Team Too Love to hear it! I've played through a bit of Trials remake but don't understand most of the mechanics yet so I cannot tell how good she is. I chose Kevin, Charlotte, Angela
