- The Premium lens guards for my One X2 turned up. YES: OOOoo you can get ACTION GOGGLES to protect your Insta360 One X2. "Premium Lens guards" does not sound as good as "action goggles". I will not be entering into correspondence on this.
But but... won't they ruin the image? Or the stitching? Well, let's find out!
(I just present it, you can make your own conclusions on the images...)
Ewww should have turned off frame interpolation in premiere for the slo-mo. Sorry about that.
TL;DR: Personally, I'm going to use the lens guards for action stuff. For round the house or safe shoot, probably without, just to avoid any issues. But out on the bike or hiking? HELL YES LENS GUARDS.

The drop quality is small enough that in most cases it's worth the protection.
If the user wants to take advantage of the full picture quality, which won't be much better, then he/she will just have to take chances..
But for action shots on a bike, or EUC, skateboarding, or anything like it I think the end results will be absolutely good enough for youtube. Plus the camera is protected.

Nice video I like the quality more before the lens guard is on, I got sticky guards at first but the quality is bad after a session in the rain. Got the premium version as slight drop in quality is better than damaging lens
This was my thinking as well. For anything where the lens might be at risk, I'm prepared to make the tradeoff.
@@Ajkiwi001 yeah I paid 200 singapore dollars and waited 4-5 months for the lens to be fixed got it sent to Hong Kong last December and got it back only in May.
My premium lens guard burst open when it fell and the lens got scratched - best to stick to the cheaper sticky guards
Hi. I just got my Insta360 & the premium lens guard. The premium lens guard shows a black circular stitching line for me. How did you get rid of that? The current insta360 app does not seem to have any stitch adjustment settings.
I guess you should choose "premium guard" option in the app.
@@Mazafakanator Insta360 app does not have that option in its current version.

There's a lot of glare with premium lens, like in a concert you get only the lights xD
Some. Not a lot. And replacing the camera or having lens repairs is very, very expensive and time consuming. If you want to take the risk, go for it!
