This game was legitimately a hidden gem.
Foreal tho!!! This game was so fucking hard to get around the time it came out....it was selling out like crazy....everyone wanted this game so bad....i had to wait later on to get it and play it....
The best part to me is how you can play as any house you want. Where as in the first Harry Potter game when you get to the Quidditch part, you only play as Gryfindor. Specifically as Harry.

This is very good idea. Write them about it!
You could try playing the PC version on your modern laptop BUT you have to keep your charging cord in the whole time or your laptop will loose battery within 5 minutes.
Why not make it on the PS4, XB1, and Switch? I'd play it on all three. Hell, I'd play it on all things to play it on, including the PC.

My God, this game was my childhood. I remember growing up. I was so happy to finally play quidditch at Hogwarts. Moments where you do team special moves, catch the snitch, or even minor details like 'Go Go Gryffindor!' in the background all made you feel like you were really in the Harry Potter universe for just a second. It is sad how childhood goes away.
This game was so well made. Seriously a “magical” gem during a simple time.

This game has a ridiculous amount of potential for a remake. I know Hogwarts Legacy is on the way, but this can be a whole focal point. Imagine Quidditch Esports, definitely possible.

To answer your question I’m afraid it’s not playable I’m afraid, there may be some references but as far as gameplay I’m afraid they won’t focus on that yet maybe in the future they’ll add multiplayer with quidditch in mind

I remember when i played that game when i was in playschool! I especially remember whenever at the end of the match when the new screen came, i covered my ears because it was so FREAKING LOUD. it always scared the life out of me..

After years I finally remembered and found this game. Glad to confirm it hadn't been only an hallucination of my childhood 😅 I wish I could play it again.
Now I'm a depressed adult this takes me back to a much much happier time when I actually felt positive and safe and felt things like joy and happiness and relaxation on a regular basis. I miss this time so much

@@yrooxrksvi7142 HP 1,2,3 and this game on PC were all goated. I dont have nostalgia from the playstation versions but apparently those are really good aswell. Pretty much after 3rd games the series went to shit though
@@Rosterized The PS2/XBOX/GC versions were even better to a degree, so much more freedom, being able to fly the Nimbus 2000 or Buckbeak at will, free spell casting. Admittedly, some aspects like story and exploration were handled better by 2 and 3 PC, but on the whole, the first 3 HP games were good all across each platform. Arguably, 5 and 6 were decent, though they no longer had the same depth of exploration.

I can’t believe I came across this, I played this game like no other when I was a kid. This video got me searching for other games I played like Lord of the Rings Two Tours and Prince of Persia
They definitely need to remake this gem. And add in character customizations, different brooms, specific position that you play and online

I don't know who owns the rights to makes Harry Potter games (probs EA or WB) but they should basically re-skin the fifa games. They could make a Quidditch team for each actual football team in the world with UEFA cup matches etc.. I'd play the shit out of that game!

I remember playing this game when I was younger and enjoyed the hell out of it. I would always start with Gryffindor, than play through the world tournament as England.

I’m not sure if bc graphics weren’t as good back then gameplay was heavily emphasized. Or it was because this was the beginning of seeing what gaming was truly capable of. Or because I was a kid. But this was one of my favorite games as a kid along with so many other great games. The PS2 were amazing
Even to this day it’s still in my top 10, just the pure simplicity of it and maybe the fact that there hasn’t been anything quite like it since. PS2 era was the golden age for games, I think you’re right that gameplay was heavily emphasised because graphics were so limited.
Going to play this and Yu-gi-oh tag force tomorrow, just can’t get the same feeling from newer games that you get from these.

So the core concept is basically you control the whole team through passing mechanics. Brilliant. Now with some polished AI, or even a Decent one, this could work well In Hogwartz Legacy if they ever decide to release a quidditch DLC...

How do you make the special attacking moves?? Not the team's special, mind you, I know it is just "press enter" when you have it ready, but the individual cool goal custscenes, like making a goal using your broom like baseball bat....The computer makes goals like these on me, but I have no idea how to use it on offense, I just know how to use the defensive ones to steal the ball! I remember doing the attack ones when I was a kid, but I have no idea how to do it on pc now, I used to play on the ps2..
