You just helped me out of a real 'AARRGGHH' moment, so thank you. I also love your vibe and how clearly you explained everything. I'm new to macrame... you can maybe tell 😊
Thank you so much! Your explanation and way you wait for us to take a picture is unique!! You really care about the teaching and learning process!! I am very happy to have found you in the “RUclips world”!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🌺 I have just subscribed your channel!!! 😊 from Portugal 🇵🇹 😊
Hi and thank you so much for the lovely and enthusiastic comment! ❤️ This made my Monday morning! I do really care about the teaching! ❤️❤️❤️ I haven't been posting too much on RUclips lately, all because I've launched an online macrame membership where I post two new tutorials every month. If you're interested have a looksie here: www.macramemakers.club. I hope I get some time soon to make some more RUclips videos too! 😅 Love from Vienna!
Amazing - thank you!! 😂😂 I like nub and bump! Maybe bumb better as many non-native English speakers might not understand what is a nub. 😅 Thank youuuuu!
Thanks so much for the helpful tips! Especially tucking the leftover ends through the knots already made at the back, seems like a much more secure method than simply cutting them short and "dabbing a bit of glue" as so many other videos like to say!
Thank you! I’ve run into this problem a couple of times so this is very helpful. I’m thinking you mean tapestry needle instead of knitting needle? But I’m not against using some pliers either!
Hiii, I'm glad to hear that! I guess a knitting needle can be the same as tapestry needle? I only knit, I don't do tapestry really, so I'm used to calling these big needles knitting needles. 😅
Very helpful! I'm working on my very FIRST macrame project EVER (except for one macrame feather that I made to attach to a rope Mirror that I made,) but I have about 40-45 larks head knots (pairs of strings) going on my piece and I'm making up everything as I go in order to learn ALL that I can on this one (1st) "tutorial" piece if you will... I'm going to gift it to my best friend when done, but can't wait to get to the next project already... Your tutorial has helped me with my first issue... THANK YOU!
great tutorial i do my knot the opposite way to you so i have to add cord the other way round thanks to your tutorial i am getting there slowly 😅😅 thank you
Hi Kim! Thanks for the comment. That's a little trickier, but not impossible if you're making spiral chains (many half knots in a row). A single half knot doesn't really hold on it's on, but if you make them into a chain they do hold. I'll put the idea on my list of tutorials to make, thanks!
this is just a suggestion that might help your videos easier for your viewers to see. Your background is white, the pole is white, your cord is white, the cord you add is white. It's very difficult to be able to see any definition when everything is white on white. If you had used a colored cord it would be easy to see against a white background. If the cord you added was a different color than the color you started with it would be easy for the viewer to see what you're doing. I see this so many times in macrame instruction books. The macrame is white and put upon a white wall. You can't see it. Take a look at your video on adding cord to your square knot video and you might see what I mean.
Hi Col! Sure you can do that too, but I would leave at least one of the cord ends to be locked under the knots above your cord addition so your work won't get chunky. I think this is the easiest and the least complicated way to add cord for a beginner macrame maker, and once you get better at knotting you can of course "multitask" and hide at least one cord end as you're knotting. 💛
I never did macrame years ago and sorry I didn’t but your never to old to learn so here I am! 😂
Learning new things is the best way to keep young. 💛
I started a couple of weeks ago, at 54 years young 😊
So so happy i found you, what a fabulous video now i can continue and finish my piece, thank you so much xxx
Hi Helen, thank you that makes me so happy to hear! :)

Great demo. Thank you!!
You're welcome!
Fantastic tutorial!! I would call that a "nub" or a "bump" or even a "loop". Thank you!

Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so very much.
You're welcome!
Hi, can you demonstrate how you would add cord when doing 1/2 square knots?
Hi Kim! Thanks for the comment. That's a little trickier, but not impossible if you're making spiral chains (many half knots in a row). A single half knot doesn't really hold on it's on, but if you make them into a chain they do hold. I'll put the idea on my list of tutorials to make, thanks!
Hi I use a bit of wire instead of pliers
That's a great idea!!
Merci beaucoup ! Vous êtes géniale ! Vous m'avez sauvé
En plus vous êtes très belle ❤
Awwwww vous etes trop gentille! ❤️

Thanks for the tip Roxanne!
Thank you so much most videos are so fast I can't follow
You're welcome!
What if I ran out while doing a chinese crown knot ?
I haven't tried to continue cord with that knot but I'm sure there's a way. Will need to figure it out!
Wow
Genius! thank you!!!! 🙏
Haha thank you!!
Surely its easier to lock those short ends into the back of your project as you continue to tie your knots.
Hi Col! Sure you can do that too, but I would leave at least one of the cord ends to be locked under the knots above your cord addition so your work won't get chunky. 👍🏻
use a other color for the news one... !!!
You're totally right, the white is a little hard to see.
