Säge is now becoming a bit of an obsession! Love the repertoire, the arrangements, and the vocal production - it's all rather wonderful. And this song is moving in more ways than one.
I didn't know this video existed until today, and am so floored by the energy that is offered by these amazing musicians in this song, the arrangement, the message, and in the visual part of this video.
The views being 4,000 is criminal. I listen to you guys on a weekly basis. I'm super inspired by your work. It makes virtual music teaching more fun when your music is playing in the background (:
Great god(ess), what a phantastic group (accompanied by a phantastic band). I love how you integrate speech into music. And of course, politically, a contribution that matters. Thank you for such great work!
I fully understand and support that this was written for the Black Lives Matter movement. It is wonderful. Deeply appreciated and supported. The song is also amazingly perfect for the female Veterans who were sexually abused and/or harassed during their time in service. Our voices are so often unheard, even though there are so many of us (1 out of 3 who join the military suffer from MST - Military Sexual Trauma). We are impacted for the rest of our lives. I personally have severe PTSD from what happened during my time in service over 20 years ago. I think the naming in this video is SO important. And, I was wondering if there is a version I could share with my fellow female Veterans that doesn't have the naming, so it feels more personal to them? (Video, or audio is fine, so long as it is sharable? I'll pay for it I just don't know where to get it.) As you know, art can be interpreted in so many ways, and you can do so much good with this song, in more ways that you could possibly realize. Thank you for your reply in advance. Keep doing what you do ladies! Creativity lights up the world.
This group is spectacular. I just sat here at the computer and listened to everything I could get my hands on from Saje. Very special.
Me, too! I'm obsessed!
I just had the same reaction. I canNOT get enough of their sound. WOW. (And AMAZING that Michele Weir is saying so as well!) :-)
Yes! Makes sense that you would love them, they’re incredible and have great ears (not unlike you). So great to see you here too 🥰 - Yerry
