I think I'd rank it a little different, most of this is something to agree with for sure. But a factor that stands a little out to me is how memorable it is. The overworld theme from both games have been able to nail that pretty well (and of course your top pick as well), fair point on your 2nd pick, but it's missing the memorable piece to rank it that high for me. Nice vid tho, always nice to check em out.
@@Vikingja That's interesting! Is there anything in particular you feel is missing from the battle theme, or is it just a general feeling that it could have done more?
The theme is cool and all. A great drive, some cool cluster chords showing up here and there, some cool moments to spice it up, and it works very well in the areas it in. But it, at least imo, it doesn't have the melody that I'll start humming, a lot of that is because it's kinda forgetable. Even when I've just heard it, it just doesn't stick to me (like the overworld themes or palace theme from Zelda 2).
@@Vikingja Man, you can hear details I simply can't! There's a reason I rarely go into theory specifics 😅 And I agree, it's kinda hard to recall, but I feel it makes such an impact whenever it appears that it's earned a high spot.
I was expecting the intro tracks for both games to be top ranked. Also, i love the town and house tracks in Z2.
@@gridly.todd.h The intro tracks are great, but I'm more about music matched with gameplay. Your list is interesting, though!
