Miss Kinsley curling up in mommy’s lap for a nap, priceless. 💕🐾🐾
❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤
I just love the way you spend time with Kinsley! She loves her mama! You have loved and spent quality time with Cade without neglecting Kinsley and that’s special! Awesome job, Mom!
It’s so heartwarming to see the love and balance you’ve created with Kinsley and Cade.
Little Kinsley sleeping on your lap is adorable!
I think she takes every chance she can for some "mommy" time now ❤❤☺️ sweet adorable puppy!
I agree with Romeo about that art in your living room. I wasn't gonna say anything but since Romeo said it I gotta agree.😂
Macenna, those arches are giving ❤
Hahaha same
Yes lol 😂😂😂
😂 same! Been waiting for her to realize it and take them off. From the moment she hung them there I was like oh nooooo. 😅
Yes, thank you Romeo
Macenna and Romeo’s relationship is such goals. I honestly don’t know anyone else who have such respect for each other. They are good friends, and you can tell there is no resentment or animosity by the way they communicate with each other. They are the blueprint ❤
My parents were like this - got married when Daddy was 23 and Mother was 20. Were together very happily and respectfully until he died at 77. They were still very much in love and never really fought - little spats here and there that resulted in a half hour of silence and some eye rolls, but nothing more.
My best friend and her husband have the same kind of relationship. They share some interests, but are really supportive of each other's outside interests. Nothing but respect and love. They also met at work and were friends. She almost refused to go out with him on an actual date because she was afraid of losing such a wonderful friend until she realized he had actually become so much more already. He, of course, had already figured that part out so it worked beautifully.
@@Lucinda_Jackson I honestly think Macenna and Romeo together in a video is my favourite part because they display such a wonderful relationship and always have. You can always tell by how a couple speaks to each other what they really feel about the other and these two have such a beautiful mutual respect and admiration of each other, it warms my heart ☺️
@
I feel the same. I, too, love to watch them together. I love to watch their faces when they speak about one another (99% MaCenna since it's her channel and her talking). There's a gentleness, a softening and a sparkle. They tease, but never in a mean way. They just have fun and laugh together. I think if I had one piece of advice to young couples starting out, it would be if you find you're not having as much fun or laughing as much together, start working on things!
I didn't say it, but my daughter is lucky enough to have this same relationship with her husband. It's a joy to watch! And I'm happy my grandchildren are growing up with such a positive example to follow.
I agree! Does anyone know if they’re married? I’m so curious about her life. She’s so interesting and cool.
@@toni3866 they’re not married maybe that’s why they get along so well lol
You need to keep the empty dog adventure calendar for next year. You can then fill it with treats and toys you know she will enjoy
Great idea. :)
Knowing her she is gonna make one from scratch and personalize to Mss Kingsley 🐶🐾🦴🎄
I thought it was called an advent calendar.
Excellent idea!!!❤🎉❤
@@marticolbeck4901 this is genius actually! I don’t have a pup but it’s such a cute idea for Kinsley❤️
I had three children under 4 years old. at the time as a single mom with also a full time job ( due to hard circumstances) it was difficult, HOWEVER, my kids are now all in their 30"s and are so close and help each other all the time. I wonder how it would have been if they were alone or far apart. They are a blessing to each other. When I leave, they will have each other and it will make it so much easier. IMO nothing is more wonderful than have children that have siblings I am so blessed as a mom. I'm so happy for you and Romeo. You are such wonderful parents and Cade ( and any other children) will be also blessed, Merry Christmas to your entire family and blessing and prayers for the new year!
“Take a bath”……best comment ever😂😂!!!
In response to not being able to 100% finish a project in one video... my husband and I call ourselves "95%-ers" because we always get a project almost all done before we call it quits and have to move on to the next thing 😂 I would personally love to see you do a video where you go back and finish the last "5%" on various projects. It would be so satisfying to watch you put those last touches on things!
She has videos like that! I remember one time she had a checklist of things she didn't finish and had to go back to, but I don't remember what video it was 😭
@addicbaddic yeah, I think it was at the cottage? I'd still love to see it again 😆
Same here lol
Put the couscous in a bowl and por boiling water over it. Wrap.up.with saran wrap and let it sit for t minutes. No burning. Plus you can season it as you wish. So easy.
How many minutes? I want to follow your directions!😊
I do mine the same way just boil the water turn off heat add couscous and spices then cover it doesn't take long maybe 3/5 minutes
I also came to the comments to help with the couscous! 😂 Bring water/stock to a boil then stir your couscous in. Put a lid on the pot and remove it from the heat. Let it sit for 5 minutes and DONE!
I like a lot of garlic or shallot/onion in everything I eat so usually I will sauté that in the same sauce pot before I boil the liquid!

Being with you, is like being with your best friend❤
You and Romeo show a real difference since Cade. Your relationship and life was wonderful, but since little man the joy exudes from the two of you…it’s so palatable. I see such a connection between the two of you that is beautiful. Little man is a very lucky, and blessed child.
Kinsley's tiny little tail starting to wag when she saw the ball in the advent calendar was just so sweet.
I had to pause the Vlog to comment! Not you turn around and Kinsley is on the table waiting. 😂😂😂 She’s like this is my queue. That made me crack up!
When my daughter was little, we celebrated every three months, three months, six months, nine months and one year. I think everybody does that. It’s just a milestones that us parents love to watch their first teeth their first word their first step first smile first day of school.
Loving the Christmas videos! I had my last baby at 41!! Just to let you know it was the absolute best! I think it was because I was more sure of myself and calmer! The best pregnancy, the best baby to nurse and everything just went so well! The perfect timing! I had three daughters who I love so much! Your relationship with your mom is so much like ours! I love it! Merry Christmas!🎄
Encouragement i needed at 39!!!! Ty for writing what you did
Epic advice from a first time mom- don't try to make it make sense, just deal with it! Yes, McKenna, you have such great intuition! Mom of 4 here, 8,7,4,2-you are KILLING IT 100%
I agree! Parent like you never heard of the internet. Unless you have a concern about something that you're not sure is serious medically or you just need a quick folk remedy for something.
I am 17 mins in and 2 things resonated:
1 - When it comes to my kiddos birthday (twins) - they give me a theme and I make it happen. They also participate in the making. I love it.
2 - When an idea enters my heads, I often cannot let it go either 😬
Kinsley is so adorable crawling on to your lap for a nap. ❤
Have we ever seen that before? I don't remember it.
That little Kinsley is the most adorable dog. She loves her mama.
You are very gifted in producing your videos. From the music, to your artwork of your house adds so much value and interest. You got it, talent abounds you! ❤
The baby questions 😂 I never can even think about another baby until at least a year after baby is born!
As a career focus person as well, that shift you talked about really resonated with me there were points during my maternity leave I looked at my husband and said I just want to be a mom. But now 2 years later her in daycare and me back to work we are both thriving because I get the mental stimli and she get socialization she desires
Can't go to bed until my daily vlogmas fix.
Much love and happy holidays from here in the UK ❤🎄

Kinsley being right behind you waiting for her advent calendar was priceless. And how excited she got, so sweet!
Kinsley laying on your lap!! 😭❤😭❤
Hey sweetheart. Well my 2 children were 5 yrs almost to the day, apart. In most ways it was great! (Boy first then my girl) it gave me one on one time with my daughter becuz my son was starting school when I had her. (Shortly after that, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor, he is ur age now, has deficits from treatment but he’s cancer free. Praise God!) ANYWAY, I think waiting at least 2 years is a good plan!! I feel if u have them closer, neither gets the best of you when they really need it, but you’ve gotta do what works best for u guys!! ENJOY Cade, they are little for such a short time. Merry Christmas to you and Romeo and ur sweet momma❤
I’d love a video where you go back and watch your old DIY projects & what you’d do different or reflect on that moment!!
Kinsley falling asleep on your lap and a.iling was everything ❤
I totally agree with making a life with a partner who is your best friend. When I met my husband, I was dating someone else. But he became my best friend, and we talked for hours every night on the phone. Of course, we fell in love. That was 37 years ago, and he is STILL my favorite person to be with, and we just love being together, even if it's shopping, or cooking etc. We have had some very major traumatic events over the years (losing our parents very early in life) and one of our children had a major stroke at 22. But those events brought us closer together because we see things the same way. We are a TEAM!!
Your outlook about trying to make your little ones behavior make sense really helped me and reminded me about my own philosophy that I seemed to have lost sight of in the fog of postpartum life - thank you 🙏
Kinsley so adorable laying in your lap enjoying you talking drifting off!
That’s a great attitude to being a parent - just roll with it. My daughter is 11 now, but she was born at 28 weeks, so none of the usual milestones ever applied to her. It actually felt like a pressure had been lifted to not have to compare her to any other baby. My mum said not to forget that when she had me, they didn’t have the internet and social media, you just carried on and occasionally got advice from your mum, family or friends. And it wasn’t advice you had to take either!
This is probably information what most young parents need to hear right now! Wish I had that insight when my guys were younger!
I love to see Kingsley reaction to toys… she so precious ❤❤❤
I loved the bit about not putting labels on Cade’s development stages. I have a 3 month old and feel like I’m tackling it the same way, and it’s soooooo….liberating? Nice to see other new moms with similar perspectives on that! It’s easy to fall into the rabbit holes, and just knew that wouldn’t be healthy for my mental health. I studied elementary education and early childhood and feel confident in my foundation of knowledge. I just read her cues which change minute by minute and day by day!
You and Romeo are my favorite couple by far!! Sharing your journey with us being a new mom has been so fun to watch, so thank you for giving us that sneak peek. Can't believe he is already 6 months old!! Funny how Having a kid changes the kind of person you are to the core.
I think it is so wise of you to support Cade in anything he is interested in….. I love how you said if he wants to--, I’ll make it happen.❤️❤️
I LOVED THIS VLOG. I feel like ill got to see you as a big sister and really see your inner personality ❤️❤️
Kinsley is so ADORABLE!!!! You got a hot tub quote ... "Um, I'm good. Go get a bath!!!"! That's called " Mom talk"! I LOVE your videos so much! Thank you for sharing!
So cute how kinsely was already on the table!! This puppy is the cutest! And yesterday hearing her play w the Xmas ornaments! McKenna she has been so good I think she needs her own treats since these ones aren’t doing it for herl
Cous cous, boil the water like hot rolling boil, then add the cous cous stir and remove from heat and put the lid on. Leave alone for a stretch (8-10 mins) check if the water was absorbed and it should be bc it's like one to one and a half ratio, fluff with a fork. That's the way I do it and it works
yayyy I'm so excited you uploaded this right now!! I'm about to do a ton of cleaning and chores because I'm moving soon and this will keep me company
Had presents I was meaning to wrap after my baby went to bed. It was nice having you as company during 💗 Merry Christmas to you and yours
When I make couscous I just pour one to one ration dried couscous and boiling water in a mixing bowl and cover it with a plate for a few minutes. Perfect every single time!
I just have to say that KINSLEY is such a love!!! I love how she just wanted to be with her mama and nap on your lap!!!!
First of all, I love all your videos, and have learned so much and even though I haven’t tackled many projects yet, I feel confident just because you tried, and experimented, and succeeded. Thank you for that ❤️
I also really appreciated you talking about becoming a mom, because I’m 31, and would love to be a mom someday, but I’m afraid of being ‘older’ and having a baby. You have handled your journey and experience with such grace, and I know not everyone’s body is the same, but hearing you talk about becoming a mom really has spoken to some deep part of me that is so excited to be a mommy. So thanks for sharing that ❤️
I had my child at almost 38, I liked that I was a more mature parent at the time but now I wish I was around your age or give or take a few years. Most of my daughter's friends parents are younger than I am and I feel as if I cannot relate to them in some things.
Awe Kinsley all curled up on you it’s so sweet she’s your first baby ❤🥰 you are a go getter Mccenna! Your very smart and talented 😊
As my son was approaching his first birthday he definitely started having favorite things. He had one book that was a clear favorite so we decided to make his birthday that. We still have some of the "decor" as keepsakes and toys. They're very special. He's 6 now.
My boys are 3 years apart. 2 years apart would have been better, I think. They're finally getting to the stage of being best buds. It's wonderful.
Later when you aren’t so busy you could totally make a balsa wood version of the advent calendar for Kinsley and every year just get her some cute toys.
That “getting on the table” habit is going to be hard for Kinsley to break! 🫣
She’s been on the table long before Vlogmas started lol
Its fine, just wipe down the table before you eat on it. No biggie
Doesn’t seem to bother them. No big deal. 😊
Kinsley looked so cute in your lap. So calm and sleepy with you. She is soooo adorable ♥️♥️🐾🐾
5:11 just boil some water or broth and add on top of the cuscus in a bowl with a lid. Let it cook for a few minutes and it’s ready! No need to go on the stove 😉 I saw that tip once in a cooking show and use it ever since. Love from Portugal 😘
Best thing of the day by far, Kinsleys advent calendar 🤩
I'm excited to hear about in person candle options!! I have loved everything except autumne which was a bit too sweet! Just ordered more and hoping Holly and Arlow are just as good 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽
The passthrough room could be a wonderful place for people who are staying to sit when they want to be out of their assigned guestroom but still enjoy some peace and quiet, maybe read a book. A place for two people to have an intimate conversation if your having a party upstairs. A place to sit and wait while the restroom is occupied! I'm thinking floor to ceiling bookshelves, 2 comfy chairs and some cozy lighting.
Embrace the darkness❤
I agree with Romeo regarding the art in the living room! 🤣😂
Love the positive vibes from you videos, I’ve been a fan for several years now, starting with your cottage renovation. FYI… smart TVs can be used to gather info, etc.; a possible reason to avoid having smart TVs in certain rooms of the house. They do not have to be on to be used this way,. Something to consider.
Just a quick compliment. You look fantastic. Always love your content!
Du bringst mich jedes Mal zum lachen wenn Kingsley den Kalender geöffnet bekommt. Hoffentlich kommt das Bild wieder im Schlafzimmer auf seinem Platz es war so perfekt alles. Alles Gute😊
Almost 40 minutes of video…woo hoo!! ❤
The Advent calendars will be 50% off after Christmas I think Kinsley could get another one 😂
Just FYI, you’ll never figure it out having more than one baby. You just do it and it’s WONDERFUL 😊. We had ours 4 years apart and they were the best of friends until they had the gap between our younger in elementary school and our older entering high school. They are adults now and they are close again. Makes your Mama heart full.
🤣 Kinsley sure loves toy balls. She's so funny with the ornaments & it seems anything round. Six months already, wow. What a cute age for Christmas. My sister & I are 2yrs 9mo apart & we have been close all our lives. She's not just my sister, but my best friend & we're in our 70s now. With my grandchildren I have bought them a Hallmark ornament each year until they are 18. I would get something that seemed to be their interest of the year & I included a note to keep in the box from me. When they move out one day, they can take their ornaments & read a memory from grandma each Christmas. Relish your memories. ❤❤😊
Kinsley trying to nap on your lap was so cute!
definitely look into microcement for your pool! we've just had our bathroom rendered in it and love it so much!
“I’m good, go take a bath” 😂😂😂 I’m dead
when does she say that? timestamp?
You should keep the doggie advent box and refill it with new toys throughout the year, ready for next Xmas!
My last two boys are 22 months apart. They do everything together! It's good and bad but it really worked for us!
My experience as well, although 2 years 3 months apart.
My grandchildren are 2 yrs and 4 mos apart and they have been very close so far! (They're still only 7 and 5)
😅😅figuring it out. Girl, one never figures it out one just lives it when it comes to having kids. Best wishes to y'all. I hear a lot of women get on themselves for not being perfect or feeling they should be doing better but there is no such thing as perfection. Do your best, give yourselves grace and enjoy life.
The other thing to remember is the baby doesn't think you're anything but perfect!
Do you have to cook cous cous on the stove? I've always just put hot water in, covered, and left for the time it says (adding a little more water if needed). Then, fluff it with a fork.
Great videos, thanks for putting all this work in!
That’s interesting your take on motherhood. For me, it helped learning about sleep regressions and leaps and growth spurts… it brought a sense of peace to me knowing 1. I wasn’t doing something wrong and 2. That nothing was wrong with my baby and that it’s just a phase and it’s normal and other babies go through the same. I feel like people unintentionally put a lot of stress and pressure on new mothers especially with comments and questions that they ask like “is your baby sleeping through the night yet?” “Is he/she a cry baby” “are they walking/crawling yet?”
I’ve always heard that the best length of time , between children, both for the siblings and for the parents, is 2 1/2 to 3 years, just FYI. ❤ Loved this Vlogmas, by the way!
Love how excited she gets for her advent calendar ❤
My kid's are half Filipino as well. Birthdays are HUGE. My boy's are now 17 and 15. I did themed Birthdays for the first 13 years of each of their lives. I have done so many themes. When they were old enough I let them choose which then like you mentioned meant there were some weird ones. Grumpy Cat was one... Initial D (an anime series)... and so many more. I DIY'D everything. It was such a fun creative outlet for all of us every year.
3 years apart is a good way to have your children that way the oldest one is walking talking and doesn't need as much assistance as a newborn
Our 1st two were 2 1/2 years apart. It was good.
My boys are 2 years and 3 months apart. I love how close they both are, and I think the close age has really impacted that. I was 38 with my first and 40 with the second, not a norm at the time. They continue to keep me feeling young, and their age made others think I was younger than I am. I wanted to be prepared parents offering a great life to my children and thought being older and more mature would be best. I learned life doesn't always follow expected paths. For sure it has really been most important to my sons to be so close in age. You are right life pushes you in different ways, and I so agree COVID made it a less than ideal time for Moms and Dads. My sons were grown, but in at risk work, so I worried about them, something that evolves, but still remains in its own way for parents.
Your brain will return. I was so afraid I was going to be stuck with a pregnancy brain. It was a relief when normal thinking and attention returned.
I think 3 is a great gap. Three year olds want to help and be like their parents. They are pretty good at following directions at that age, too (assuming they are age appropriate). They're also ready for some independence and this is the perfect combination for being able to love the baby without being too jealous (because they've already begun separating) and wanting to bring you diapers or whatever else you need.
Vlogmas is so much fun!🎅🏻🎄🎁🙌🏻❤️🥰💋🫶🏻
Kinsley is trying to cuddle with you while you’re answering questions🐾…so adorable too💞🎄…..oc
I always buy rolls of ribbon from Hobby Lobby to wrap presents and they look beautiful. Plus you can reuse them.
Regarding babies just be aware that the older you get the harder it is to conceive. So waiting is a risk. You may be just fine having one, but if you really want another child you should not take the risk of waiting too long.
Made my day you cooking lunch in your pjs! I have fibromyalgia somedays I’m too tired or clothes hurt so pjs it is!!!😊😊
Same with my fibromyaliga and complete fatigue some days better than others xx
@@lisafulton-323 same here!! Glad to hear it’s not just myself. One less thing to feel guilty about over💕
I just live in flannel jammies and nightgowns most of the time. It's just me and my dog. I don't go out much and the dog doesn't care what I wear! I do switch into sweats or yoga pants and sweatshirt or sweater a couple of days a week just so it doesn't look or feel like I've given up! 😂😂😂
For Cade's birthday with the bear theme "My Beary First Birthday" would be adorable!!
For the couscous issue:
I start cooking it on a pot (usually a cup for two people), I cook in some olive oil for a minute untill it's a bit toasted and then I pour the same amount in volume of water and a pinch of salt in the couscous pot, turn off the heat, cover and let it sit for 5 minutes, then I fluffy it up with a fork. Done and humbly perfect👌🏻
Trust me one child and two children are the same. It’s even better when you have two. ❤❤❤
That’s not even close to being true
LOL
I so understand not labeling Cade's stages. I'm 71 [ yesterday, my first Great Granddaughter was born!] , we mostly did the same as you. Just meeting the needs of the day. Tomorrow, it's likely to be something different. Being a parent is so rewarding. Enjoy the day. Down the road, you'll be gushing over your Great Grands while reliving your young motherhood.
I make my husband take wellness formula when he starts to get sick and he’s so dramatic (but also so real) when he’s grossed out by the taste
This was just delightful to watch!!!! Funny very funny. Thank you ❤❤
Can’t wait to see more fun moments like this!
I honestly think it's great that we don't know the other side of Romeo. No one has to know everything about someone. 😉
The Romeo we see is super friendly, loving and helpful.

My husband and I share a birthday w/each of our 2 sons. Very fun & unique and never heard of it happening to anyone else, but, maybe it did, just never heard of it. The odds are ?
This was such a relaxing vibe! 🎉 I appreciate your openness about the questions! 😊 Isn't life funny about how we expect it to go earlier in life and seeing how it turns out later on?
PS, I've got the exact same thing withy partner. He is so funny; however, on camera he's more quiet and relaxed! Haha
I don't even cook/boil couscous, what I usually do is add it to a pot and pour boiling water on it, mix and let sit for a bit until it puffs up, which is basically a sign it's cooked.
Whatever lighting and camera setting you have going on when you’re talking in your bedroom about the tv and trim is CRAZY. Crazy good. I thought you were on a green screen, it felt like you were in the room with me. Quality impeccable, what changed?!
I just love to be in my sofa looking your videos. I have my first son when I was 31. I always knew that I want a sibling for him. I didn’t plan the second one but It came when I was 35. For me it was perfect. They still can play together and be a best friends… I’m so happy with the age gap.
Mines are 10 years apart ❤and yes it feels like starting over again. Like my oldest dose almost everything himself with directions. My baby is high maintenance. In my 40's 😅🎉
Cous cous is very easy. 1 cup cous cous.....1.5 cups boiling water. Place into a pyrex bowl and add water, cover and leave. It absorbs the water and expands. Leave for a few hours and fluff up with a fork....😊
Never heard rap and yap before either but I just googled it and apparently it's a normal thing. How cool!
Kinsley loves her calender!😊
Kinsley is so precious!🥹❤️
My boys are 15 months apart ( I was in my 30’s and clock was ticking). It was challenging at first, like having twins but you do have help with Romeo. After the diaper phase it was easier and a lot of fun. Highly recommend!
"I'm good ... go take a bath" 😭😂
Try Ganahl Lumber in Pasadena for trim. They have a lot to choose from.
