I'm amazed at how good chinese glass has gotten. Should have expected them to catch up.
Used one of there scopes for hunting last year. Did me well. ✝️🇺🇸✝️
Great job on your reviews.. just bought the Bear 1-10x24. Have a couple of Budget Red dots from CV... to me are just as good if not better as the expensive ones. Cvlife send this guy more . Thanks
Looks like another nice optic from these guys, thank you for sharing
I bought one a couple days ago and have been looking through it in every possible amount of natural light. I can't believe how clear this glass is and how nice the reticle is for this price. For me, even in bright sunlight that reticle is very visible in both red and green. I've got astigmatism so at 1X is basically a red dot without the flare for me. At a few hundred yards it's not the same as five bill + scope but it is as good IMO as many in the three bill + area. Now we have to see if it will hiold 0 long term on a .308.
I only see that they mention use on 5.56 as the BDC reticle is calibrated for use with 5.56, so I hope it holds up for you (do let me know). Curious what .308 you put it on since you just stated on my most recent video that you do not have an AR10...
@@BuckeyeBallistics Nope, no AR10. I;ve got a Tikka T3, Savage 111 and 2 Ruger Americans in 308. I was most concened with 1X and a daylight bright reticle. In the areas these scopes will be used (I just bought another CVLIFE in 1X-6X a few minutes ago) shots will be inside 150 yards max with most being well under 100yrds, so no real need for the hold over marks. I might one day take it out to the long distance range though just to see where the marks line up with 150 gr 308 out to 300yds. That range is supposed to get extended to 1000yds but time will tell if that actually happens and my eyes arent good enough for the truly long range stuff anymore.
Drop at 300 yards with .308 is only 8" if you zero for 200 (depending on load), which only puts it 2" high at 100. Wouldn't really need holdover marks out to 300 with a 200 yard zero 😁👍
@@BuckeyeBallistics That's true. A little Kentucky elevation is plenty good for that on deer sized game. Have you tried any of the 22lr ballistic scopes? Been thinking about them lately.
At last count this morning I need 9 more scopes so a couple more...and a couple more and so on. Scoping guns that are bare, replacing broken scopes and old dim scopes and updating a few rifles with more appropriate scopes
I tried one that was just a basic 4x32 from CVLIFE just a few weeks back. I need to contact more scope companies and try to get some- I know BSA used to make the "sweet 22" scopes that I always wanted to try. Perhaps I'll send them an email... Any others you know of with bdc marks for rimfire?
This looks like a great value. I like the new reticle and the daytime bright feature.
Frank! Where have you been?
@@BuckeyeBallistics Very busy lately with downed trees in the yard
Free firewood, just got to work for it lol.
@@BuckeyeBallistics They are right about it burning 3 times. When you cut it, move it, and burn it. I'll use it at camp in the wood stove so it wont go to waste. Just looks bad having trees down in the yard for now
Ooh fancy fancy!!
I'd have to say I would go for the 1-6x24 same scope and mount for $100 vs $170 on that 1-8 if I was going LP, IDK just me.Good show.
Depends on how much those extra zoomies are worth to yah! 😅
it always amazes me when shooters expect tight groups when the target is being blown around by the wind
When did I say I was expecting tight groups? I didn't...
How is this on 7&8 power?looked pretty good on your footage here.some other reviewer said this scope is terrible at 7&8 power and not great on 1 power but you and 704 tactical had a pretty positive experince.contemplating picking one up today on sale
As I said in the video, it looked even better that the images I was able to capture and show my audience, and even those images looked fairly clear and crisp so I think that answers your question right there. Also, you can read the comments on this video and see that some of my viewers also have experience with these scopes and they too are impressed with the performance as they stated below.
The problem is, not everyone has the same eyes. Some people need glasses and some don't, and of those that need glasses, the prescription and vision problems differ from one person to the next. So what's clear and crisp for one person may not be clear and crisp for the next person for this reason. However, that being said, that is what the diopter that I mentioned in the video is for, to adjust it for *your* eyes. I think too often people forget that there is a diopter back there, including the people reviewing these things sometimes.
If any of this information helped you out, please consider using my link for the scope to help me out...
@@BuckeyeBallisticsYes thanks for taking the time to answer.I gathered the glass was good this one guy was just saying the eyebox and FOV were unusable a 8x,which can sometimes be the case with LPVO’s at max magnification.I had already ordered it about 15mins after i posted and was unaware you had a link..but i did see a couple other items on your list i had planned to purchase and i will use you links on those👍🏼
@@faraci5617 Appreciate it
Doesnt look to bad for the price. Magnified or not if its a true 1x im going with the 36yrd zero. That same zero will get you out to 300yrds with the normal flight trajectory of 5.56. I wonder if thats what they were going for in the directions but didnt clearly state it in the directions. Ive had this happen with other budget scope manufacturers 🤔...
Hey brother, thanks for stopping by. MPBR of 5.56 is 300? Or are you calculating for a little extra rise and drop 😉
@@BuckeyeBallistics At 36 yards, the bullet's trajectory will be 4 inches above the point of aim, and at 300 yards it will be about 2 inches below the point of aim, this gives a nice blend of impact range for distances between 25 and 300 yards. This is called the USMC combat zero and I have to say it has served me very well with carbines that Ive used RDS on. With that said Ive also done this on true 1x LPVOs and its held true with that as well fron what ive seen. With this zero you're able to keep hits within this yardage within the C-zone of a standard torso target. Giving you the ability to just use your original POA and not have to worry about using a bullet drop mechanism. Hope this helps.
I'll have to try it some day. Usually MPBR only allows for 3" in either direction, so it's pretty close to that. Allowing for 4" of rise instead obviously extends the range some before needing to adjust for holdover. One of these days when I'm not busy recording constantly I need to take all my rifles out and set them up to shoot this way...
Like the reticle. Between the 2 which seems better the Eagle Feather or Bear Paw? Some BDC for 5.56 aren't far off with the 145gr fmj 350 Legend - maybe a click or so. Thanks.
Bear Power you mean? Or is there a Bear Paw too? Or did I mistakenly say Paw lol? 😅 Honestly it's a toss up, comes down to personal preference. The Bear has exposed locking turrets where as this one does not, and of course the reticle is different. Both reticles work great, but I would prefer this one for anything 300 yards and closer, and the Bear for anything beyond 300 as the lines are more fine. The Bear is also about an inch shorter...
@@BuckeyeBallisticsBears & Jakyals & Eagles Oh My. 😂 It is Bear Power. I'm old & forgot from 4 days ago when I was researching differences- especially cost. Noticed the 1x6 was about 60% of the 1x8 cost but unsure quality difference. About 200yds is the farthest I would use in East TN. Lack of flat ground lol.
Yeah that 1-6x is a good deal. I guess they think the extra magnification is worth the upcharge, plus the different and better imo reticle...
Reticle looks much like a primary arms reticle. With PAs customer service, I'll stand by..👍👍enjoying your video compilation.
Looking at site know. Dont look bad. How compared to monstrum tactical?
Haven't tried Monstrum yet (soon), but I know they directly compete with each other...
I'm Brazilian, I would like to see the cvlife 6 x 24 x 50 spotting scope adjustment, could you post a video teaching it, excuse spelling mistakes, I used Google translator.
I don't have one
