The Mystery Mine and Indian Petroglyphs - Uintah Basin, Utah ( Asphaltite "Gilsonite" Minerals)

- This video shows the rare mineral Gilsonite (also known as Asphaltite) is found primarily only in the Uintah Basin of Utah. The samples of Gilsonite shown in this video contain an unknown mineral laced with flour gold. Gilsonite is used in more than 160 products, primarily in dark-colored printing inks and paints, oil well drilling muds and cements, asphalt modifiers, foundry sand additives, and a wide variety of chemical products. All of this video is filmed in the geological formation called the Uintah Formation. The Uintah Formation consists of the remains of an ancient lake called Lake Uintah. Dinosaur and Fish Fossils can be found in this specific formation. In this video you will see the remains of a dinosaur fossil embedded in Sandstone Rock.
This video contains numerous Native American Petroglyphs from the Fremont Culture, Ute Indian and Cowboy rock art. This video also shows an attempt by the creator to explore an old Mining Camp and discovery of their old mine shaft.

Dude, I was going to call you so we could check out that site we talked about earlier, but my plans got screwed up. My vacation days got cut short, very short. All I had time to do was go up on the Uinta's and take a picture of an old Spanish Silver mine I had been wanting to see and mess around one day out in the desert (the video). Then I had to head back home.
I wish we could have done what we talked about. Now we have to wait for the dang snow to melt! Grrr.

Thats neat to see the horse petroglyphs. I know of some petroglyphs that are a bit lesser known. You may or may not have come across them in your travels. I need to tag along with you on some of these adventures.

I can tell you this , in this video I saw the skin from a giant person/animal . There is a reason they are called gold veins. When a person dies all the blood is runs to the finger tips/toes the head. Depending on how the body was laying. You might look at an aerial map of this area and see if anything sticks out in the shape of a body

Ralph, thanks for the compliment. The horses were brought by the Spaniards from Europe. Some horses were stolen, others escaped and became wild horses (mustangs). The Indians excelled at husbandry of the horses and this completely changed the cultures of the different tribes. Now they could wage war, hunt and explore far and wide.
I couldn’t imagine how difficult the daily activities could be minus the four legged beasts of burden, poor 🐶 dogs were utilized.

I guide bird hunts at Pleasant Valley, formerly known as Hicken's Chickens. I helped them last year with the watering and maintenance and found a lot of cool stuff. My Ute brothers take me up sometimes to their property in Rock Creek up on Big Ridge....lots of things there. That is all I will say publicly.

@@Kingspeakbackcountry Cool, I used to see the "Wilderness kids" all the time out on Big Wash (South of Nine Mile). Almost ran some over on accident going over the loops on the pipeline road two Winters ago.
I went on a rafting trip a long time ago from Sandwash down to Green River (Through Desolation Canyon). It was so much fun! I was just a kid, but would love to do it now as an adult. Probably enjoy it even more.

Some of the symbols above the horse are very similar if not identical to paleo block Hebrew letters and word phrases . Which is a phenomenon where did Indians learn phonetic Hebrew . There's only theories but , and I will say it , did Egyptians bring Hebrew slaves to mine gold ?? Using Phoenicians also part of the Egyptian navy , naval mercenaries. To transport Hebrew slaves to mine there gold , you can find there style of symbols and gods . So ?? Maybe??

I got scammed on the first music I used in this video, they said non-copy right and then a few days after posting the vid they filed a manual copy right claim.
I use to use music a lot in these types of videos, but all the music is copyrighted and I lose rights to my videos. One time one of my videos was pulled down for 6 months, not because of anything I did, but because of a dispute between the song owner and one of the major record labels (or whatever they are called now). This really sucked. After that, I try to be more careful, or not use any music at all. The free music you can get on youtube for videos sucks.
Did the Spaniards use the Gilsonite to smelter the Gold cache the ambushed pack train abandoned there?
I'm not sure, I know Gilsonite burns really hot so you never know. I'm also not familiar with the ambushed pack train. I have an email address down below if you feel comfortable telling me the story.
I think it is a story the documentation made it to Spain archive from Mexico City by the only returning survivor when the Spanish and Jesuits were no longer tolerated by the Uintahs.
Allot of that had nothing to do with mining. Like where you found that bucket, that was excavated underneath, that is artifact hunters. I saw allot of evidence of artifact hunting on that location. I would bet anything on that.
