This looks like the type of game you play with a friend and it starts normal but the waves just randomly out of nowhere go nuts and you die instantly lol
Some ideas: Node dispenser that only heal sentry guns not players (scrapped tf2 idea) Upgradeable sentries (so they look better with 2 miniguns on the front) Make the zombies or robots come from a place you can't see them spawn so it looks better (Or use fog) bigger bomb or add a marker above it so you can see it better A bomb carring tank that also lets robots out from the door behind (Maybe the tank also heals robots a little bit)

take a look at the MVM map "bogland" by Christin. interesting gate idea, lots of gates surrounding the map some are close to the spawn and certain bots spawn out of them.
Ideas: Flame turret (small range but multihit and burns enemies) Heavy turret (combination of rail cannon and default turret) Rocket turret (shoots rockets that home on enemies with big multihit damage but slow attack speed) Mine (a cheap bomb that you can place (no need for more explanation)) Laser turret (very low damage but attacks super fast while the laser is on the target) Shield maker (makes a shield that lovers the damage by 75%(or something)but only for itself (u can place it close to enemies spawn so they will shoot it not the turrets but this idea may be a bad one)) Thats all and the game looks very cool
hmm what if the turrets could branch into "sub-classes" after reaching a certain level, like a laser turret would have the option to become a constant beam that deal constant damage instead of being single shots at a time, or the turret could continue on it's own upgrade path ibstead and gain piercing properties, and other ideas for different turrets
a idea (senty upgrade turret give you a laser pointer that lets take control of 1 turret passives +bullets from turret can piece though 1 guy so each shot can hit 2 enemies +Better defense and hp +more damage per shoots -slower fire rate -some times can so a fake crit which deals less damage) a extra idea (name : repair mortar: shoot water balloons into the air that heal you towers with a heal over time effect takes time to get to the tower heal over time get better the farther the repair mortar is from the towers and have tiny aoe
At wave 2 bots should drop the engineers weapons like the Rescue ranger Widowmaker Frontier justice it(should be nerfed since there's like a hundred sentrys) The short circuit The wrangle (wrangles the closest sentry) Add a kick feature upgrade. Instead of picking up your buildings you kick them forward sentrys go far and dispensers go mid Plus you can knock giant's to the ground stunning them for 3 second with a 5 second cooldown Add a mini dispenser witch heals you very slowly and when destroyed it explodes (basicly a landmine) Since it looks like ultrakill a bit make the upgrade station at the end of each wave where you can get upgrades and unlocks like New buildings Higher building limit More scrap capacity More building up/dps Ect... That's it so far
I like the kick idea. and as for different buildings and weapons, you unlock then as random drops from bosses/enemies. New weapons drop from crates, and new buildings drop as blueprints.
you should make metal spawn from dead robots, like in tf2 plugin tower defense gamemode, pickup respawnable metal seems like bad game design for td with how it is currently
