2:32 Those birds are _Buphagus africanus,_ one of two species of "oxpecker" bird. Cattle, deer, rhinos, giraffes and other large African mammals go stomping around in the grass and end up covered in ticks, botfly larvae, and other parasites. The oxpeckers come and eat the bugs (and sometimes earwax, dandruff, and blood from the bug bites). It's commonly cited in school science classes as an example of "mutualism" (the mammal gets parasites removed; the birds get lunch and a big honkin' wall of solid meat and bone to detect and resist predators), but some biologists are growing suspicious.
